  1. On that logic we should sign Franny Jeffers and play him up top.
  2. The panel who will decide the fate of the appeal are Steve Cram, Lee Dixon and the Villa fans with the 'sob on the tyne' banner.
  3. It's a shame Smith couldn't get his legs to backpeddle to help our back four out, the gormless twat.
  4. No way we can throw Gosling into a derby game after no competitive matches for about nine months.

    Alan Pardew

He doesn't like Steve Stone cos he was five minutes late into training last week.

I can't believe this prick is actually going to be in charge against Sunderland. He'll probably drop Coloccini and Enrique for not understanding what it means, and play Soderberg cos he was earlier into training than Harper and Krul.

    Alan Pardew

I did hear Pardew right, didn't I, when he said he was "glad Smith was getting a game"?
  8. If anything positive has come out of today, it's that Pardew has rammed home his lack of squad depth. Fwiw I reckon that's the reason Airey came on. It smacked of "look Mike, look what I've been reduced to without Carroll fit".
  9. kind of what I was getting at. 'Anymore' = playing for a top division club, even though today was against some no-marks from League 2.

At 2-0 down he brought on a defensive midfielder to win the game, interesting. Funny, I seem to remember people going apeshit at Allardyce bringing on Beye and Faye to beat Derby.
  11. Today is the end of the road, I think. Thanks for last season Wayne, but you're no fucking good anymore.

Huh? Load of bollocks that, Pardew was rightly acclaimed for those two wins and he'll be rightly pilloried for today's shambles. He'll take the rough with the smooth. The general concensus I got was that any praise Pardew himself took was fairly minimal and begrudging. I agree with the rest of your post entirely btw, just the bold bit I think is completely wrong. I suppose it depends who you're talking to or reading from, but Pardew's tactics and subs etc were given the thumbs up after both games.
  13. Well said, we just lost to a team 74 places below us in the league. How people can accept that is beyond me. no-one's accepting it, you fucking mug. We're all really really pissed off, just because some people actually feel Pardew was part of the problem today and aren't arsed if he apologises (it makes no fucking difference btw, today happened regardless) in front of the bloody TV cameras.

  15. Please just fuck off, you gurning wanker.
  16. I know that it was probably 1% of the reason we lost today's game, but... am I the only one who is sick to death of, and completely dumbfounded by our ability to constantly concede incredibly unfortunate deflected goals? Literally every game Krul has played, he's had one deflected past him. Chelsea 1-1 (Kalou off Simpson), Liverpool 3-1 (Kuyt off Taylor), Man City 1-3 (Tevez off Colo and Enrique), Spurs 2-0 (Lennon off Perch), Stevenage 3-1 (Nobody off Williamson). Is it because we're not closing down properly, or just bad fortune?

I prefer to blame the players and Pardew too. Both are at fault.
  18. The passing out of defence was made to look significantly worse due to the fact that our midfielders didn't drop deep and show for the ball once. Yep, was about to say just that. Franz Beckenbauer in his pomp could have been in our back line tonight and still would have struggled to find Smith or Nolan with his distribution. The pair of them were painfully slow and offered zero protectionor help to the back four.

I wasn't, playing two right-footers on the left hand side was a fucking mental choice. Ferguson, a natural left winger, was made to sit with splinters in his arse for the duration. It doesn't matter about where players were playing. The fact is they are good enough and should of least put in a performance. It's pathetic excuses when your saying players are played out of position against a team that is 74 place below us in the leagues. He could have chosen two younger, hungrier and more naturally fitting players, but he chose to leave them both on the bench for the duration. I think Perch and Barton both 'put shifts' in but couldn't pass the ball comfortably because they had to keep shifting it across to their stronger feet all the time. The man is a gutless, clueless cast-iron prick and today proved it.

  21. Coloccini was areet today, and Barton's goal and general endeavour which showed me he cared mean they're the only two players I can fully excuse. Partial exclusion from this goes to Airey, expected to drag the team out of the clarts despite having absolutely no proper match experience. The rest of them, Pardew included, were a complete and utter embarrassment and went through the motions for the entire game. I don't think I've ever seen a worse reaction to letting a goal in, the lot of them looked like they genuinely didn't care. What the fuck was Pardew saying to them in the dressing room, 'it's alright lads, we'll win this no problem'?
