Who the fuck is filling these seats? its the previously un-tapped size of the fan base tbh. for every fan I know who goes to games I know at least twice as many and more who are very interested but don't go. But why are they choosing to start going now? Just because it's cheap? possibly? or more availability? not sure- but there is tens of thousands of fans in the area. and even as I suspect the number of them willing to go to games has shrunk massively due to the lack of ambition, still plenty to fill the stadium. On a different note I've Just finished listening to the show from last night on catch-up!!! Same old 'Just get behind your team' retort about the current shambles that is Newcastle United. I try to but 'United' is something the club, the fans and anything to do with Newcastle is not. NUFC has been poisoned by that hideous leach. He should have gone then. The transfer policy is nothing short of criminal and thats why I and many fans get so frustrated at matches now and believe thats why the atmosphere has gone. Fans know we are watching football and players at times that simply are not good enough. I mean how long have we needed a centre back, creative midfielder and proven striker? We should be re-named Sports Direct United. Support the team not the regime? They come hand in hand!!!! There should be rules that DO NOT allow leaches like Ashley to own/run football clubs in this way as NUFC will never be a business to me and alot of fans as we don't pay good money to see a balance sheet. (...and before leeds/portsmouth etc... are mentioned. You can still run a tight ship but have ambition).

you would be forgiven for believing its actually club policy to aim for a certain safety like say 42 points, Identify the games where these will come, and tell the players not to even bother with the other games.
