I've just contradicted myself on Twitter, but is it only Barcelona who will realistically be competition? I don't see any of England's top 6 losing their managers and, from other countries, I can only think of Barca, Dortmund (if Klopp goes) or possibly PSG. I just don't know if it's worth the risk in waiting, as good as he is.

That earlier article on Mings is great though, it'd be nice to have good people playing for our club again.

Disagree. If he would have said we are looking to buy players this month as we appreciate their are glaring holes in key positions and we aim to appoint a permanent manager within the next 7 days I think we'd all welcome that. He's getting criticised because all we are being is told not now later. Even if he said that we'd not believe him, based on recent history. The club always 'intend' to do things, before falling on their list of excuses after deadlines day.

We were always going to hate on his words, no matter what they were. There's nothing there worth getting mad about, it just confirms what we already knew about the club - Charnley's words are very transparent. I'm pretty sure they're going to piss off Garde too, no matter how positive that French TV stuff seemed.... they don't sound close to an appointment.
