Cheap midfielders like Semenyo, Smith Rowe, Rogers + possibly Schade (in Wissa's absence). Cheap forwards like Vardy, Calvert-Lewin + Wood.

These easy Villa opponents
-
That one for sure, although a couple of 90s ones were good - that Paul Weller one and Here We Go (not by Fabrizio Romano). Anything but this one that's been around for YEARS.
-
I'm still erring on the side of staying at SJP but could probably be convinced if they ensure it's still got a supreme location (is Castle Leazes up by the BBC?) and has a unique design with character, maybe even asymmetrical. Keep fans on board for the design.
-
If we let him go right now, it'd be almost like the club is purposely trying to fuck up.
-
Got to love Galatasaray's opportunism, here.
-
1 out of 10 because Kelly could be shrewd. Going to opt against the rant this time.
-
Sancho, Madueke, Palmer, Nkunku, Joao Felix, Mudryk, Neto as their attacking midfield rota (+ a banished Sterling)

This needed to be a big summer + it's been the complete opposite. All the calmness around here is strange. Genuinely staggered that they've put all their eggs in the Guehi basket and let Howe overrule those above him. Come on, work together. There's loads of good players out there. Anyway, it has vibes of this being Howe's final chapter. Momentum of 22/23 completely gone. I really thought there was a top four spot waiting if we signed a couple of first-teamers - just a couple. But not only has the PSR shambles lost us Minteh + potentially turned Gordon's head, we didn't even touch the funds. Apart from that unproven Sheff Utd kid. To have no back-up CB targets is truly staggering. Let's hope something can be pulled out of the bag tomorrow, even just a Chalobah/Disasi loan.... whatever. Faith in the club has disappeared.
-
Howe will probably be gone before the season ends, so we can start being a proper, grown-up club
-
The reception he'll get on Sunday will be insane. Hope he falls in love with the club
-
Dunno what to think after those two posts I'd tweeted about a minute beforehand how it was great to have him back, like a new signing etc. So of course he got hurt.
-
So much talent out there being snapped up by other clubs and here we are, trying to overpay for Guehi and still not getting it done. Heads need to roll because of this. Shambles doesn't even begin to cover it.
-
Still catching up on the Football Cliche ones but they're great. The Quickly Kevin Will He Score 90s nostalgia was good too.
-
At least he's not Dubravka. At least he's not Dubravka. At least he's not Dubravka.
-
Gigantic week coming, appreciate the updates SP We can already write this season off if they somehow don't secure a CB and RW. To continue with Almiron/Murphy is humiliating.
-
They'll probably re-buy Clarke next season, after promotion. The twats.
-
They've got a low fee for Clarke, are giving a chunk to Spurs and only have a week to replace him? Excellent.
-
The fee doesn't seem too insane when you remember the Maguire, Fofana, Cucurella, Yoro prices. Apparently Man City spent £52m on Benjamin Mendy seven years ago! But he's still overpriced.
-
Would take Tapsoba, for sure. And Ornstein instantly adds credibility to the rumour. Need to be quick though, otherwise this will become a very infamous transfer window and a massively missed opportunity.
-
Mitoma, Adingra, Minteh, Gruda, Rutter, Joao Pedro, Welbeck, Ferguson, March (inj), Enciso, Sarmiento.... all fighting for four starting spots
-
Petrified about who we now turn to, assuming it's not Guehi Better not be Thiaw or Gomez
-
The general media predictions have been shocking, like. I'd expect us to be 4th/5th even if it's just Guehi coming in - no way do Villa maintain last season, there are new Liverpool/Chelsea managers + ten Hag still exists.
-
Could maybe stretch from £55m + £5m to a flat out £60m but even that's on the border of acceptability. Then again, if the alternative is only Thiaw, maybe it's worth pushing with Guehi.
-
Fee was a bit mad but I've lost all faith in this club pulling off a decent summer. Buzz well and truly killed.
