February-May was filling in the time. We improved over the summer, bought well and came across much more professional. A dreadful pre-season led into a remarkably good 1/3rd of the season. But now the wheels are falling off. In a nutshell.

We've thrown away that incredible start with another poor performance. Pardew got us playing the high line, it clearly didnt work and yet he stuck with it. Defensively we were shambolic and despite having less of the ball, they looked much more likely to score. Obertan shouldn't exist - I'd rather have a mop on the right. Tiote was very poor today, hopefully Chelsea and Man U scouts were there to see that. Vuckic was alright tbh Coloccini was bested by Long again and again Ben Arfa lit the game up and I loved the 'Hatem Ben Arfa' chants before he came on Krul can't kick Absolutely livid.

My sympathy is with Alkmaar, like. By stepping on the pitch, a fan should be aware of the consequences - he could have a weapon so should be seen as dangerous. As for the ref.....he's stuck to the rules, but the rule is stupid.

If we got Vertonghen we'd be overachieving, but in a slightly realistic way akin to Cabaye and Ben Arfa. Lets do it!
