God, I hate Blackpool. God, I hate Spurs. Any way they can both be wiped out? Can they take Liverpool with them?
-
Europe: would you take, er, 5th place right now?
Ketsbaia replied to kirkwdavis2001's topic in Football
Why would we be called deluded? We're 2 points behind 7th which will probably get you there. I always get the impression this is what everyone outside of Newcastle thinks, they probably had a right to think that in our past few premier league seasons but I'd say everyone is a bit more cautious and level headed, dare to dream eh Not what I've heard. Set of deluded c***s apparently. I don't hear many people call us deluded - not people I'd take seriously anyway, just a couple of journalists looking for easy copy and the half wits who actually believe what said journalists say. Not many real fans or football people would say we're deluded and any way I think it was more the "messiah complex" thing that we were accused of. And we can't be the only ones accused of a "messiah complex" when Liverpool fans fawn over Dalglish and Man United harp on about King Eric -
Back to the lady avatars, Kaiz. I was wondering what'd happened to you.....

So would Pique.....whenever, wherever.

Enrique favourite, followed very closely by Ben Arfa and Tiote. Then Barton and Colo.

The Guardian have one too.

Allardyce. I hate him so, so, so much. The twat! Can just do another account though, a lot of the stuff wasn't specifically about Allardyce, just about where and when he'd have a cheeky wank. We'll find a way around this, but in the meantime.....what has this world come to?
-
Worthy of a title change tbh.....
-
This is weird - my brother can get on it fine. Updated 6 minutes ago apparantly. But nobody else can....
-
Eh?? How?? Why?? He's not breaking any rules.......I want to cry. I'm disturbingly upset about this, although theres probably a way to get him back.
-
This club has gone in cycles for the last 10 years and I can confidently say that Option 2 is most likely. Never underestimate the potential for disaster when Mike Ashley is here.
-
Nah man he's gone, the Daily Mail says so. On second thoughts, you might be right!
-
AC Milan bought two left backs in January. Its a non-starter (and more lazy jounalism).
-
Just hope he gives us one more chance. Sign the deal and if we don't qualify for Europe next season, we'll let him leave.
-
I think it'd only be £10m after clauses, which we'd be happy to pay because it means he's doing well for us.
-
If we finish the season well - with Ben Arfa lighting up the world - we could get Europa League. If he gets his Spain call-up in the meantime (somebody said Del Bosque nearly did it recently) and we announce a signing early.......then maybe theres a chance.
-
Bentley was sponsors MoM, which always goes to a home player. All Brum players were rubbish.
-
Could we change his mind if we got 7th place and into Europa? The Spain situation could go both ways: 1) he doesn't get call-ups here and sees leaving as the only way to get one 2) he gets called up, he sees how the elite live and wants to be part of that
-
I fear I'm automatically programmed to hate him when he leaves (as with past good players), when I really don't want to. In a world where Tiote and Ben Arfa exists, he's still my favourite player. Suppose it depends on which club it is, how much for and who we replace him with. This is awful

Gutted at that quote. Seriously gutted. I know it doesn't necessarily mean anything will happen, but the wheels are in motion now, aren't they?

bit of a strange win for arsenal. barcelona dominated them and were breathtaking to watch, but one double whammy later and they've lost. having said that, barcelona don't lose, they just let the other team win.....and they'll still destroy them in the second leg. piece of cake. great game though! keep the faith! PS/ how brilliant was wilshere? he was a superstar tonight.
