  1. Genuinely had a dream that Smith put us 1-0 up with a half-volley from the edge of the box. Then suddenly they were 2-1 up. All this was happening whilst I was stuck at home refreshing N-O, having not gone out to watch it. We may or may not have equalised at the end.
  2. Interesting. They'll not get relegated now, so who on earth will?
  3. He got a hatrick the game before last, man. Maybe gives him confidence at least? maybe its the start of a great career, maybe its a fluke. im going with fluke.
  4. haha aye but 1-0 is a narrow win, not 'revenge'. a lot of your fans will be desperate to pummel us.
  5. harper simpson williamson coloccini enrique routledge barton nolan jonas ameobi best Our team is so weak there and I really wonder how we'll get anything from this game. i fear a tonking so a narrow defeat is fair enough (would be ecstatic with a draw). but our players will never give up like theirs did - enrique, barton and nolan won't let heads drop. our fans won't desert the team either. steve bruce is so wound up, i fear for him a little bit because he's obsessed with this revenge factor....unhealthily so. and for a mackem, would a simple 1-0 win be classed as revenge? For me, theres four problems: missing tiote/carroll, their home form, having to play two of routledge/smith/guthrie/best and the revenge factor. part of me visualises a 3-0 defeat but still winning on 'aggregate'. but sensibly, we're talking 2-1 to sunderland.

    Shola Ameobi

Yep. This feels totally surreal. International footballer Shola Ameobi.......once the shock dies down, I'll actually be really happy for him. Well Done ShAm.

    Dan Gosling

Onuoha was a whizz at school apparantly and he speaks coherently.
  8. Comparing Best to Bothroyd is like asking if you'd prefer a shit sandwich or a shit panini.....at the end of the day, its shit in bread.

    Dan Gosling

    love intelligent players

    Sebastian Larsson

Blackburn? Blackburn Rovers? This Larsson kid is a mentalist....
  11. Ohhhhhh fuck right off with this. Bothroyd is shit-a-palooza.
  12. My worry is Pardew. Chris Hughton was here for the 5-1, knows how bloodthirsty they are and knows what the rivalry is like. I'd trust him to prepare the lads well, whereas we don't know if Pardew saw the 5-1 or has a clue about how intense our derbies are. Its the same fear I get about foreigners playing in it for the first time. Hopefully its just pessimism and he does alright.
  13. Actually feeling really relaxed about this derby now. Nobody can take away our great day last Halloween - as long as they don't slaughter us back, although if we're capable of a 5-1 they are too. But I think the strong personalities in our squad (Nolan, Jose, Barton, Carroll) won't let that happen. They'll beat us obviously, but we'll put up a lot more fight than they did. Gosling is a massive risk, but to be honest its a much better option than Smith or Guthrie. At least playing Gosling has a chance of paying off!
  14. The Sessegnon and Hammill deals are frustrating, like. Strange to see Yakubu at Leicester too.

    Sebastian Larsson

A new striker, an Enrique contract and I'm quite happy like. A back up left back or midfielder will be a bonus.
  16. really don't get good vibes about this guy. i wonder who #3 on the list is....
  17. yeah thats the upside. but pessimism is a monster....
  18. Fucking Blackpool Was really banking on them to get relegated but thats them totally safe now. Also, if Liverpool picked up some form they might have helped stop Sunderland finish in the Top 7.....so that is probably over too. With Blackpool staying up now, this relegation scrap is VERY interesting.
  19. Awww man, I always thought I'd thought #2 up by myself
