  1. So I brought in two players that arent playing this weekend, almost brought is Nasri instead of Nani, Tevez has scored and I subbed Etherington to accomodate Nani. Awesome! Still time for Malouda to score too.
  2. For once, the scores are going alright (so far!). Fulham, Birmingham and Wigan losing. Lets hope Big Sam can do something right today.....
  3. The more I think about loaning Vela, the more I like it. Realistic, nice wages and a very good young talent that can work well with Carroll. Lets go for it
  4. can't believe we're turning our noses up at SWP. ok maybe he's frustrating and hasn't cut it at international level, but that is still above where we're currently at. we've only just got one player back in the squad! keane would be great on loan but once harry mentions "the highest fee", we're out of the race.
  5. Things are starting to kick off now, which is great. FIFA shouldn't get away with this and I hope they rot. Hopefully by the time 2026 bidding begins, Blatter will be gone and some sane person might let Europe have 2026. Although England still shouldn't go for it, because FIFA will still be a corrupt and pathetic organisation.
  6. Based on absolutely nothing, I think he'd do OK for us at the minute. Better than Lovenkrands and Xisco, for me its between Best and Ranger to displace Ameobi. Despite not scoring for us last season, i think he's capable of 4 or 5 goals.
  7. Yeah I'd already done the changes by then. Hopefully they'll keep up their form though!
  8. IN: Nani + Adam OUT: Malouda + Routledge Carroll replaces Tevez as captain.
  9. 15th-17th hopefully. Successful season, then.
  10. Nolan needs to score his 8th on Boxing Day against Mancity. Something to get the taste of Smash, Quality Street and frozen Yorkshire puddings out of Messi's mouth.
  11. i'm still in disbelief, like. graham taylor just said that FIFA people are the type that say yes to your face and no behind your back and he's right. lets not bother bidding for any more because it clearly isn't quality related. its blatter in his quest for a nobel fucking peace cunting prize. FIFA reeks of corruption and its dripping from them. the qatari victory baffles me the most. how can a country the size of newcastle, with absolutely no footballing history and temporary flatpack stadia even have the audacity to bid for the World Cup? its as if all logic has been turned inside out. i see the british media as scum, but i sincerely hope they go all-out and completely rape FIFA, exposing every dirty secret they have. and lets introduce goal-line technology - why not? we shouldn't be pleasing those bellends anymore. they can get lost.
  12. another reason why FIFA are an absolute joke. there is no good reason why any of those countries should've won and clearly they're corrupted. if i worked for them, i'd be embarassed tbh (and rich). this had nothing to do with bid quality and all to do with politics and the ego of Sepp "I gave Africa the World Cup, now I give it to the Middle East" Blatter so all the hellholes he gave WCs to can say how great he was at his funeral. if sportugain and usa/australia won, then fair enough - i get it. but russia and qatar? nah sorry, that is completely out of order. but to finish below holland/belgium
  13. For those still wondering, the commentators are Martin Tyler and Alan Smith.....i still dont know if they were Sky's commentators that day, but its plausible.
  14. From Marcotti's twitter last night......... My FIFA buddy who loves this kind of political stuff and works for one of the ExCo members sent me his predictions for 2018 voting... (note that he has included David Chung, though we don't yet know if he'll be allowed to vote) Round 1: Iberia 8, Russia 7, England 6, Bel/Hol 2 Round 2: Iberia 8, Eng 8, Russia 7 Round 3: England 13, Iberia 10. This is just his educated guess... NO IDEA if he's right... (been right in past, also been wrong in past) He's adamant that his source does these kind of predictions for a living and whilst only a guess, should be a good indicator of tomorrow's events.
  15. I've heard that Fanni can be a proper cunt sometimes

    LOL at Lolro

Which bit was he impressed with? Losing last night to Arsenal or the way they caved in at West Ham?
  17. Scott Dann or Roger Johnson would be good.
  18. The thought of building a team around Forster, Enrique, Tiote, Ben Arfa and Carroll really excites me.
  19. Can't Kezman get some of his journalistic contacts to get this started? I'd love something like this.
  20. Fine, let him sign. Then sell him for moolah in the summer.
  21. There were times in that first half where I was sure they had magnets on their shirts. That Ameobi nod down was the perfect example. If Carroll had simply stayed where he was, it'd be 2-0.
  22. that match probably defined an era. people talk about the greatest teams of all time, but in my opinion this barcelona team are just on a completely different level to any other team that has existed.
