  1. obviously we should win, but why couldnt we just have a normal lower league side....bloody accrington man! the pressure on us will be massive.
  2. september 11th at home to blackpool. at the latest!

Caulkin's Twitter: Chris never gives anything away. Perhaps it depends on definition of 'contact'. An official bid was rejected by fax last week and talks ongoing since then. Don't think there's anything to fret about yet.

  6. team mates never give me any movement, which makes passing so much harder. move and put some effort in, man! its turning me into the angry guy who gets petulant, which i hate.

ahhh man i panicked at the thread title. of course theres been contact, man. this would be the most elaborate hoax of all time if there actually hadn't. hughton's just playing his normal game.

ah right, thought you meant benfica refused to bid for him. as long as he has a choice im confident we'll get him, but im worried marseille will force him to go elsewhere......can they go back on accepting our offer?
  9. harewood apart surely none of the rest were on above 10k. one spin could be saying that the chairman should be splashing the cash to try and stay up but hull did that and they're finances are kinda wrecked because of it, the other spin is better to invest the prem money in the club in capital spending on improving the stadium training ground etc what they're doing is probably for the best. even if they bought 10 players they'd still be going down, so they may as well improve the infrastructure with that cash injection. but its still funny to see them miss out on these players.

source? this is potentially great news. i reckon they're our biggest threat (apart from marseille themselves)

    Sunderland...

are they? buying a lot of defenders but the rest of the side? attack especially if they sell jones and replace with a loan of welbeck riveros, al-muhammadi and mensah are good players. angeleri is, but may not get a chance. plus they've got good young players. certainly think its the best squad outside of the top 8.
  12. 1 Chelsea (not great, but slightly better than man united) 2 Man United (poorest version for years, but hernandez is MINT) 3 Arsenal (pretty....pretty....letdown) 4 Man City (by hook or by crook, they'll force themselves in there) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5 Liverpool (stop the rot) 6 Tottenham (that saggy faced twat really is a cuntstain, isnt he?) 7 Everton (lovely team and well run. with money they'd be brilliant) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 8 Aston Villa (big gap from 7th and here is their downward spiral) 9 Sunderland (building a good squad, they'll still obsess about us though) 10 Stoke (i actually think stoke will really struggle, but these were the last team i filled in. man, theres some shite in this league) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 11 Blackburn (same as stoke) 12 Fulham (unspectacular compared to the last 2 years, but they'll be steady) 13 Bolton (same as stoke) 14 Wigan (keep n'zogbia and they'll be fine) 15 West Ham (ultimately saved by the dross surrounding them) 16 Newcastle (it'll be minging, but we'll be alright) 17 Birmingham (severely overachieved last season and they really should be near the bottom) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 18 Wolves (barely scored last year and despite Fletcher, the same is true this time) 19 West Brom (same old, same old for the yo-yo) 20 Blackpool (weekly rapings, might scrape double figures if the stars align properly)
  13. Their 10k wage restrictions have led them to miss out on Jon Stead, Rob Hulse, Robert Koren and Marlon Harewood

    Sunderland...

Onuoha. Fucking hell, man He's one of my favourite footballers too. With a few exceptions, they're building a canny squad there.
  15. We have two English goalies at this club who should be in ahead of Fielding. Madness!
  16. Carvalho has been a key player for a long time at Chelsea, but I reckon its the perfect time to let him go. Get a bit of quality youth in there!
  17. werder bremen should get him back to replace ozil, and leave ben arfa alone!

if they've accepted our loan bid, are they allowed to go back on that? i just hope ben arfa doesn't realise that Benfica are as much of a shop window to the elite clubs as we are....with the bonus of champions league. porto and benfica have sold loads of quality players over the last few years.

the problem being that we won't be offering anything like 6m. so in that situation, either he stays there or gets forced onto hoffenheim/rubin etc.

Bloody hell man, this thread Theres no reason to panic at all. In the end, player power defeats all.
  21. We need a competitive relegtaion for Blackpool, where they can take points from WBA, Blackburn, Wolves etc. Finishing on 10 points won't help us. Therefore I wouldn't mind them getting in a few decent players (if they can).
