Bit nervous now. It looks straightforward but since when is football this easy? Throwing these games away used to be our bread and butter, so I hope thats not the case tonight. How silly might this look in 2 hours? -
It frightens me how little Enrique and Coloccini are rated outside of here

Secret Agent Dowie will become an even greater hero if he gets them relegated. Come on Iain, I'll be rooting for ya

Think - Reading (a) Hope - any home game so I can be there. (promotion though, not the title........i still think west brom will win it)

win tomorrow night and this thread should be closed tbh. even an eternal pessimist like myself would admit it's in the bag......

My 3 favourite footballing people are Alan Shearer, Sir Bobby Robson and Jose Mourinho. Without a doubt. He was just a joy to have in this country and maybe we all took him for granted. For him, press conferences weren't something you just get out of the way - he relished them and brought his A-game. Everything he does is for a reason, mostly some fantastic mind game. The best part is that we know he'll eventually be back, probably soon. I can't wait Decent coach an' all.

The bell guy swung it for you, didn't he?

I think about this a lot, actually. How sad. Man United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle, Spurs, Aston Villa, Everton, Man City, West Ham, Leeds, Southampton, Sunderland, Sheff Wed, Nottm Forest, Wolves, West Brom, Derby, Fulham, Ipswich Tried to fit Stoke, Leicester, Blackburn and Bolton but alas, only 20 spots.

If Maierhofer's height is that much of a problem, why hasn't he cut it at Wolves? However, his presence alone creates another problem for Saturday, I hope Hughton prepares for him well.

Didn't we almost sign Ronaldinho in 2003? We were certainly linked....

England aren't gonna play all 23 though, that never happens. Football isn't just the match itself, especially when you're away for 6 weeks in a hotel. You need all sorts of personalities. I'd bet that if Gazza wasn't goofing around in 1990, England wouldn't have gone that far. But his presence allowed everyone to relax and have a good laugh. As for Beckham, he's the only veteran who the youngsters could speak to and he'd genuinely care in return. I can just imagine Beckham being a calming influence when the going gets tough and thats a vital cog for the machine. Plus his free-kicks!!! This isn't aimed at anyone in particular, I just think he brings so much other stuff to the table and now he can't be there. Unless Capello thinks he should tag along anyway, but that would be awkward.

i voted enrique, but could easily have went coloccini. especially with him playing more. unfortunately, i can only see it going to nolan now. if he's voted the division's player of the season, it would look odd if he wasnt the club's. fingers crossed though

HOME: 5 games left. W2 D2 L1 (to forest) AWAY: 6 games left. W2 D2 L2 that poor run of form gives us 16 points and a total of 89 points. 90 if you take goal difference into account. Then Forest need 26 points from 10 games, which is W8 D2 L0. That simply will not happen. WE'RE GOING UP!!!!!!

i'm jubilant but also slightly gutted. but as long as they still go down, all is good. in fact, it'll be tantastic! this has completely made my week :celb:

Well kinda. I certainly don't support England and I much prefer club football. Will be hoping 'The Elephants' do well this summer though beckham probably will retire. its like when somebody is dying but they're just holding on to see their family one last time. the world cup was all that was kept his career going. without it, he may as well not have one anymore. if that makes sense.

this is just......unbelievable! words fail me right now

Everything he's done for the past 3 years has been geared towards ££££££££££££££££££ tbh. whereever he goes, he's gonna be loaded for life. its obvious how much he loves playing for his country, even if its only 10 minutes. he comes across as a really good person. with his final chance gone for england, does anyone think he might retire now?
-
i can't imagine how low he feels right now. everything he's done for the past 4 years has been geared towards this summer. absolutely gutted for him

Can't take another minute of this. City have been shocking.

If there had to be a game without Staylor, Colo and Williamson, this is a good game to do it. We should comfortably win, but yet again we'll not keep a clean sheet. 3-1 -
