  1. With our keeper crocked for some time, rumours on Swansea board we maybe looking at a loan of Karl Darlow. Heard anything your end? and would that be likely?
  2. Game finished 2-0 to Swansea. We had 82% possession, maybe we should have scored a few more
  3. A nice stat then, Matt Grimes has had more touches of the ball then the entire Cardiff team. 2-0 now.
  4. So there'll be a few Swansea fans on this board come Saturday then.
  5. Not that we're not patient, they generally get poached. The only one pushed out in that list was Laudrup, instigated by the then Captain, Garry Monk. Rodgers was poached by Liverpool, Potter by Brighton after becoming dissatisfied with backing and Cooper in a similar fashion decided to leave due to lack of backing, Swansea held him to contract until someone paid a fee (Forest). We're hoping Brighton was so happy with him they'll come to us for his replacement.
  6. If only our owners had backed Potter, we could see he was a very good manager and had he been backed and he stayed we would have returned to the Premier League. Instead they sold anything not tied down and he left.
  7. We've had an inconsistent season, new manager appointed the day before the season started and an insistence to play passing football from the back even when we didn't have the players comfortable with the style. Its all starting to come together now though, with some great games, at times we're unplayable but unforced errors fannying around at the back have cost us, especially earlier in the season. As it stands we're on a good run, but too late I think, win all games and we'd be on 75 points but I think we'll end up just outside the play-offs. Lots of hope for next season if we keep the core of players together and a few quality additions.
  8. Two excellent goal by Joël Piroe today for Swansea against 'Wayne Rooney's' Derby County. Only 22 years old, his first full season of playing and our top scorer, we signed him for 1 mill from PSV in the summer. A big future for him I think.
  9. Every year there's been that fear in the second game if one of the teams won the earlier game. Something we don't need t worry about now
  10. A new first today. In the Swansea/Cardiff 110 year history of playing each other, today was the first time ever, that one of the teams won both League games in a season.
  11. They talk about in general with teams linked https://bournemouth-forum.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/where-will-eddie-be-this-season.14017/ and here https://bournemouth-forum.vitalfootball.co.uk/threads/the-newcastle-takeover.11458/page-18
  12. Mick McCarthy's on the lookout for a gig.
  13. Martinez was the catalyst for our rise to the Premier League, well loved by the fans, he even said as many managers do, how he'd have to be dragged out of our club. After 1 1/2 years in League One and 1 in the Championship he was less than dragged away by the Premier league's mighty Wigan. Not sure how he's progressed in style, but with us he was very attack minded, wasn't too keen on defence, he didn't mind the team letting in 3 as long as we scored 4. Very exciting times. I don't think he would have got us up though, when he left we had Paulo Sousa for a year, a much needed change. Sousa worked on our defence and most scores were 1-0, 0-1 or 0-0, the latter most I think. Sousa was p[oached by Leicester and in come Rodgers who took us up. Be fun seeing what Martinez would do, Keegan-esk I would think.
  14. At least there's light at the end of the tunnel, the new owners will look to change things for the better (sooner rather than later). It could be worse, you could be like Cardiff (our version of Sunderland), who has Mick McCarthy as manager, who for the last 4 games played 5 (FIVE) central defenders to tighten the ship and in those games let in 13 goals. They have an owner who knows nothing and relies on his mate to make football decisions, lol. Hopefully a new manager can get these players ticking in the games until January.

Well hopefully this will show the new owners the urgency.
  16. One of the greatest players Swansea had at lower levels was Lee Trundle, the tricks and skill he displayed for 3rd and 4th tier were incredible. A few years ago he played in a charity match and showed he still has the tricks and humour. Best penalty lol
  17. He was a big loss to us, think we would have been Premier League again now had he stayed more than a year.
  18. Is this a YELLOW or a RED. https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/swansea-city/12411730/how-is-this-only-a-yellow Manning had tapped the ball away to stop a quick free kick. Ref gave both a yellow. I can't think this being a yellow if Ronaldo was on the receiving end.
  19. Didn't expect to see Freddie starting for you guys. As I mentioned above, a number of our fans didn't want him to return, many thought he wasn't brave enough, stuck on his line when he should be coming out and poor distribution. I always thought he did OK with us but I think Benda is an improvement. The funny thing is, because of the clean sheets most other fans think Woodman is a big loss and reading other fans site now they all think Benda is a liability, whereas our fans love Benda and think he'll go on to bigger things. I'll be interested to see how FW gets on from here.
  20. Funnily enough his named came up on our forum, someone reckoned we could do with someone to point where our players should go.
  21. It'll be interesting, not a good win record with MKD but tries to play the way our fans want. Saw some clips of their Bournemouth game where their players consistently put themselves in trouble by short passing at the back, looked like the players were not up to that style.
  22. Steve Cooper to Fulham is what we are expecting this weekend once Parker to Bournemouth is confirmed. Most Swansea fans are not too concerned and w=quite like the idea of someone new. Although Fulham are apparently balking now at the 3.5 million compensation that they've known about since the start.
  23. Rumour on our site that we're looking to take Woodman on another year loan. Not everyone happy, a lot think we should be playing Benda our own keeper rather than another loan. There's quite a debate on whether he's good enough, pointing to the defenders in front of him for the clean sheets. Quite a few think he's too slow in distribution and gives the ball away with bad distribution. We may lose Cooper this weekend to Fulham, so the desire to take him may end anyway.
  24. It was typical on how we have been since January. We had been playing mostly well until then. Since then we set up to not lose. January transfers were a disaster for us.
