The PGMOL has confirmed that not only was the second yellow that seen Swansea's Patino sent off in the first half against Sunderland but the first yellow was also an error by the referee. https://planetswans.co.uk/2023/11/10/madleys-mistakes-confirmed-by-pgmol-patino-misses-out-as-a-result/

Just two of Madely's gaff's Saturday How is he able to ref?
-
Robert Madley. He's doing us again. Every time he's linked to our games we know we're in for a rough time. Sent a player off first half for two of the softest yellow's ever. Just gave another soft yellow, none of them even fouls. Manager booked for complaining about the incompetency and now a free kick just outside the box and our player didn't even touch theirs. He's the most useless ref we've ever had against us.

He's not had the best of times, it was a funny loan as we had just bought Josh Key, a right back. Ashby started playing Right Wingback with Key playing Left Wingback. Even though he scored in one game, his form wasn't good and eventually Key was picked ahead of him in his normal position and Ashby dropped to the bench. Key's been injured the last couple of games against Watford and Blackburn, so Ashby's played. I missed both these games so can only go by the player ratings on our board. We lost at home against Watford and no player got a rating higher than 6.1, Ashby got 4.9, better than just 3 other players and he was subbed off on 79th minute for an attacking midfielder, probably chasing the game as we were 1 down. We won against Blackburn and Ashby played the 90 minutes and had a score of 7.2. Will see when Key returns if he manages to keep the spot.

Ashby scores for Swansea

Hopefully he does well for us

Piroe's only got 1 year left on his contract, doubt we could pay enough to extend it so we expect him to leave this summer. He's been a great signing though, 20+ goals each season.

I wonder if he fancies Swansea

Latest on our boards saying Russel Martin is signing a 3 year deal with Southampton today. Lots of celebrations ongoing with Swans fans, no-one can see what he's achieved to deserve it but most are quite happy. Lets see if its true Already some speculation regarding next manager, some putting 2 and 2 together to get 19, seeing as our glorious owners are also part owners of DC United, or should I say Wayne Rooney's DC United, they think we'll become Wayne Rooney's Swansea City. Wouldn't be that bad thinking of it, he did well considering the circumstances at Derby. We'll see, never a dull moment being a football fan (unless your watching a game where Martin is one of the managers ). He did well at the end of the season, just the 20 odd games in the middle.

We'd love promotion as would any team, our chance passed us really though, rather than keep our Prem players we sold them the first year down, since then our team has slowly been weakened as seasons go by. Be great to go up again but can't see it.

Being reported now that our Manager Russel Martin is about to go to Southampton (although no approach has been made, not sure how that works). Whether this story is true or not I don't know, its been rumbling for a few day now though, I think we'll lose Martin soon as it appears his agent has been linking him everywhere. Not sure what to think really, we ended really well but at some point we went on a run of about 25 games with 3 wins, we'd all have been glad to see the back of him at that time. The number of games lost due to messing about at the back, suicidal defending and goal kicks, plus losing to goals in injury time. Playing players out of position where they are not suited to play. Playing 3 at the back, a system we don't have the players to play, losing games because of this with the defense in calamity. Then changing to a more familiar defensive shape, winning a few then going back to 3 again. Actually I do know what to think, roll on the next manager.

All ex Swansea managers, we're wondering if there'll be a hat trick. We'd take any of them to replace what we have now.
-
In the documentary it stated he had offers from teams in League One, but wanted to be home near family.
-
With our keeper crocked for some time, rumours on Swansea board we maybe looking at a loan of Karl Darlow. Heard anything your end? and would that be likely?
-
Sounds like they want to leave FIFA.
-
Game finished 2-0 to Swansea. We had 82% possession, maybe we should have scored a few more
-
A nice stat then, Matt Grimes has had more touches of the ball then the entire Cardiff team. 2-0 now.
-
So there'll be a few Swansea fans on this board come Saturday then.

Not that we're not patient, they generally get poached. The only one pushed out in that list was Laudrup, instigated by the then Captain, Garry Monk. Rodgers was poached by Liverpool, Potter by Brighton after becoming dissatisfied with backing and Cooper in a similar fashion decided to leave due to lack of backing, Swansea held him to contract until someone paid a fee (Forest). We're hoping Brighton was so happy with him they'll come to us for his replacement.
-
If only our owners had backed Potter, we could see he was a very good manager and had he been backed and he stayed we would have returned to the Premier League. Instead they sold anything not tied down and he left.

We've had an inconsistent season, new manager appointed the day before the season started and an insistence to play passing football from the back even when we didn't have the players comfortable with the style. Its all starting to come together now though, with some great games, at times we're unplayable but unforced errors fannying around at the back have cost us, especially earlier in the season. As it stands we're on a good run, but too late I think, win all games and we'd be on 75 points but I think we'll end up just outside the play-offs. Lots of hope for next season if we keep the core of players together and a few quality additions.

Two excellent goal by Joël Piroe today for Swansea against 'Wayne Rooney's' Derby County. Only 22 years old, his first full season of playing and our top scorer, we signed him for 1 mill from PSV in the summer. A big future for him I think.
-
Every year there's been that fear in the second game if one of the teams won the earlier game. Something we don't need t worry about now
-
A new first today. In the Swansea/Cardiff 110 year history of playing each other, today was the first time ever, that one of the teams won both League games in a season.
