  1. I mean we were 7-1 up and he takes off a Central Defender and brings on a young midfielder.
  2. No but Alan Smith has, longer hair than I remember. Putting a few of our u-23's on now.

How important is Fer to you? + Fer's been playing very well. we're hoping Andy King will fill the gap but he's an unknown in our team.

Some good news for you, we've lost Fer and Bony for the rest of the season. Well Bony is no loss to be honest, an expensive mistake that should never have happened.
  5. Swansea sign Andy King from Leicester on loan til end of season too
  6. You say you have bad luck with referee's. Our last 3 games Offside goal given against us Second bookable offence ignored for opposition player Player sent off (rescinded) and today a def penalty and prob red card. We definitely don't get a fair crack with ref's and no it doesn't even out over the season.
  7. Got a good young full-back on the bench named Connor Roberts, played well against Wolves, we can't fathom why we played a centre-half there instead?
  8. Sorry to cherry pick one statement Groo, but you don't think Tammy Abraham has worked out? I've seen articles where pundits are putting him on the plane to the WC. (I personally think it would be a good idea for us to sign Sturridge or Carroll, assuming they're up for grabbing their last WC chance) No I don't think he's worked out, if he had he'd be picked to play every week not sitting on the bench, if he's already on the plane for the WC then it shows how bare England's squad is. I do think he has the potential to be a great talent but I don't think he's there yet, no way should we have bet our season on him and Sanchez, add to that Bony, who if he could week in week out would be fantastic, but I said when we signed him that he was a big risk due to his lack of games over the past few seasons, mainly due to injury. Be a great game for socks to shine.
  9. It's hard to tell with the new manager, he's still finding his team. Hope he has more luck in finding them than Clement did.
  10. Its off field stories that are the focus for us. Think your ownership is bad! The back and forth of arguments between the old owners and the trust is taking the main stage. Briefly as possible, the old board members who 10 or so years ago helped save the club and were the driving force in our rise wanted to sell out because they cold not afford the riding costs and keep up with the wage demands. Enter Americans#1, the board members wanted to sell controlling shares to this consortium, the trust wanted to do due dilligence and found they were more hedge fund investors, looking for profit and blocked the sale. Enter Americans#2, the board learned from previous experience and kept the trust in the dark, a Chinese consortium came in and wanted to invest, then moths after the board had already signed agreements to Americans#2 the trust are informed, the trust want to look at both offers to see which benefited the club best but find that the board had blind-sided them and they sold to the Americans for a nice large payout. Yes, Americans#2 are a hedge fund looking for profit, they have invested no money and low and behold, even after the big sale of Siggy on the last day of the window, we are being told there is no money to buy players this window!! We sold our main goals from last season and replaced them with two loans, neither really worked out and an ex-player who has been injured for most of the time over the last few years and funnily enough has not been able to put a run of games for us. We're in a mess and unfortunately, unlike Newcastle, we are not big enough to survive a relegation and come straight back up, with the current owners who probably are looking only to profit from the sale of any decent players we have left, we will fall back to where we came from, or maybe lower. Those directors who were heroes a few years back are hated now by the majority of fans.
  11. Fer's been in and out and everyone's hoping they extend Naughton's ban for 10 matches at least.
  12. Apparently a target for West Ham
  13. Was the reserve league top scorer last year, apparently scored some great goals but never given a chance until now, a bit of a baptism of fire
  14. f*** off is there, or has there ever been, a "Swansea way" ffs. f***ing sick of that term applying to any number of clubs. The "Swansea Way" came in when we were in League One, Kenny Jackett was the manager who got us promoted from League Two and Martinez was his team Captain. Martinez and Jackett had a falling out over the style of play, Martinez wanted the team to play possession football and Jackett preferred a more direct approach. Rumour had it that Martinez used to conduct extra training on maintaining possession, a number of players, including Britton bought into it. This led to a falling out between Martinez and Jackett and brought about Martinez leaving and ending up at Chester. Later that season Jackett quit and Martinez was brought in, he lifted the club from mid table to just missing the play-off's, we needed to win the last game and we lost something like 6-4 against Blackpool, who went up through the play-off's that year. The following year we played possession attacking football, something Martinez was good at but defending was not our highlight. It was something unusual in League One which is why it became known as the Swansea way and we won the League. We maintained that way, each following manager added something, Sousa added a defence, Rogers combined it all and Laudrup gave us that bit a flair. It stopped when Monk took over, the first year with Monk he continued what Laudrup started and we finished our best position in the Premier League. The next season he changed the way we played and basically the rot started there. Guidolin should never have been sacked, Bo Bradley was a joke and Clement had his feet kicked from beneath him by the summer destruction of our attacking line-up. We are where we are now and most expect relegation and the blame is being pointed generally in the direction of Huw Jenkins the Chairman.
  15. We might be missing Jordan Ayew, became ill when on Ghana duty, missed their game and was in hospital.
  16. Doubt he'll start, I expect he'll be on the bench. I didn't think it was a good idea to re-sign him, would much rather have kept Llorente, hopefully he'll prove me wrong.

'Only Swansea' how often do I hear that, we don't have the best players in the Country, nor does anyone else outside of the top 6-7 teams. We have a decent team who suffered last season due to an incompetent appointment as manager due to sentiment rather than logic. Clement's record last season if stretched over the season wold have seen us comfortably top half. Clement is a very good coach, so don't count chickens. There seems to be a lot of confidence in Rafa making a silk purse out of a cows ear, come on, really. Rafa's a very good manager, Newcastle should be challenging for Champions League every year, but you don't and you won't be this year either. While there is no investment you guys will struggle, just like the rest of us. I do love it when we are disregarded every season though, because we're only Swansea.
  20. Shelvey also might be a little too motivated to play in front of Swansea's fans to prove a point. Could be a bit of a risk in terms of him having one of his moments again. When he played his first game against Liverpool for us, he score one for them, one for us and got sent off
  21. That last half hour, 3 goal in 5 minutes wasn't it. We did well playing 5 at the back, that last minute first half goal killed us, we changed it to chase the game and took a central defender off. Then bang. Did well defensively against the Saints and Palace, but Palace is nothing to gauge against.
