He has no redeeming qualities. It's not even a case of 'theres a player in there somewhere'. He's too slow and cumbersome for this level. He doesn't have good enough technique or physical presence to make up for it either. Consistently breaks up rare, good passages of play. More often when were breaking, it falls to him and we lose all momentum. Had enough of him now, sell him, send him out on loan, whatever. There's no benefit to having him in the team at all.

Also Steve Mcmanaman really is the worst of the worst.

Joelinton man. So fucking slow. Absolutely useless.

Should we top our group, we were supposed to be playing in Dublin, which will now be Wembley. That means all of our group games, R16, SF and F would be at Wembley, if we were to go all the way. Some advantage that. The QF would be in Rome, given that Spain are in an easy group and their R16 match would be against a team placed 3rd in their group, its likely to be them in the QF. Thats where we'll go out, is my prediction.

Wat. Milan haven't finished high enough in the league to qualify for the CL since 2013! Finishing 8th, 10th and 7th since then even missing out on the EL. Inter also missed the CL 6 seasons in a row in the last decade! Absolutely clueless.

Barnes is spot on. In the short term, what we need is Arsenal and Tottenham to continue their demise. Hopefully Kane goes this summer and their post Mourinho appointment is another disaster. The loss of revenue and their stadium debt with continued off the field poor showings will hopefully force them to scale back. Same with Arsenal, hopefully more board level conflicts cause them to fail again and again.

Unlucky you parasitic cunts. New UEFA changes to the CL is still rotten though.

If they join the SuperLeague, they have to go from domestic competition. They cannot be allowed to treat the PL as a secondary competition to field their B teams in, which will be better than the rest of the league due to the increased revenue. If they are expelled from the PL, I'll still watch Newcastle. I'll still want Newcastle to do the best in every competition they're entered into, I'll still enjoy going to games*, I'll still go to the odd away game where it feels less sanitized and a bit of a throwback to better times. I'll still enjoy discussing it with Newcastle fans from far and wide. I might even see Newcastle win something, which would be fantastic, even if it is diminished in competition. I absolutely wont have to root for a sovereign wealth fund to control my club for the puropse of sportswashing to have even the slightest chance of success. A decrease in revenue might mean a decrease in quality somewhat but thats relative. I'm not sure the fans of clubs in Germany or France give a shit about the quality when they're lifting trophies, but I bet they give a shit when PSG or Bayern win the lot. Quality means fuck all if all the chips fall your way, you have a cracking side and the highest you can reasonably finish is 5th or 6th. West Ham have had the season of their lives and what will they have to show for it? 4th place and a battering in next years CL. It doesnt even begin to compare to actually winning something. European football is nice but we've been conditioned to thinking that its the be all and end all, no, the be all and end all is being competitive which is nigh on impossible in the current system. . *When MA goes.

This is a good read. Any merit based qualifiers are basically excluded from the income shared by the 'founders' and there's basically no financial incentive to win the cunt. So obscenely blatant like but above all else, completely dull.

Im so glad we're not part of this. The likes of Liverpool man, you just know that if this Franchise League was to get going, they'd be playing games elsewhere. They might start off with a game a season in Dubai, then a few more elsewhere and so on. Eventually, they'll be Liverpool in name only, then whats to stop them moving somewhere else? Probably Boston. It sounds far fetched but it really is these clubs being stolen. I wont watch a single minute of it like. Absolutely no chance.
-
Interesting final paragraph. "Cannot assure that the project will be eventually successfully launched"
-
Liverpool releasing a statement quoting the words of Joel Glazer. Christ. The whole concept is farcical like. So, what happens if they do leave their domestic leagues? The same 20 teams play eachother every year, forever? There's no european competition because they wont be allowed, theres no domestic cup competition of any note because its just the same 20 teams. Sounds dull as fuck.

We might end up finishing 13th on a higher points tally than last season. Bruce would be unbearable
-
I agree, apart from I think Riviere was worse. Only slightly though.
-
It's positive imo. I'd rather they fuck about in their own sanitised, plastic 'super league' than the CL become a more closed shop. If they leave the CL that's more chance of other English teams qualifying. Itd be better if they fucked off completely. They already have the pick of the players, it's already incredibly difficult to break into the top 6 and almost impossible to win the league. Hopefully they'll take PSG and Bayern with them and leave the actual competitive, knockout football to the rest of us.

How long is arbitration likely to last? I've seen mentions of it taking a matter of weeks to two years. Is there a timescale or a deadline? Do both parties take months to prepare their cases and then it's heard over a set period of time? Will there be further hearings, appeals and the like? I'd be interested to hear how the whole thing is likely to work. The fact that they haven't even started the cunt, despite this being talked about for months on end doesn't bode well. Fucking stuck in pergatory man. It's the hope that keeps you going.

He's a fucking cunt is what he is. Its not the content, but his delivery. Smarmy, vindictive and arrogant. The sooner he stops covering us, the better.
-
Mike Ashley giving up the retail section of the club is odd like. Its about the only part of the football club he remotely enjoys. How significant it is, nobody knows really. I would have thought quite insignificant in the scheme of things and its Ashley trying to make any potential sale a little easier. Its a scrap of hope though.

Burnley 1-2 Newcastle United - post-match reaction from pg24
Doctor Zaius replied to Yorkie's topic in Football
ASM was outrageous but Dubravka kept us in it. Weird that there was any doubt about him coming back in for Darlow, in hindsight. Thought Longstaff played well too, worked very hard. Jonjo Shelvey was his usual disgraceful self and the sooner he is shifted out to whatever mugs take him, the better.
