  1. This lad has looked absolute rubbish to be honest like.
  2. Ashley being shown up to be a fucking lying cunt again then. What an absolute prick.
  3. What's this based on? it certainly isn't the performance level since Rafa's been in charge. There's a lot of things to fear with this squad but i really don't think the defence under Benitez, we are hard to break down and extremely well organised. One of the best teams in the league was offering f*** all, until Voldemort decided he wanted to stamp on a player in front of the ref. I really wouldn't worry about the defence tbh, although i would worry about creating chances and relying heavily on Atsu to create something by himself. Thats a fair point. I would agree that we obviously look far more organised, however I feel that on paper our back four isn't the best this week. Three of the back four this weekend wont be first choice. I can see the likes of Lascelles and Mbemba being found out way more at this level. Add that to the fact that we dont have a proper left back and Manquillo looked massively suspect defensively based off last week. It hardly leaves you brimming with confidence imo.
  4. Fearing the worst here. Our defence is so poor. Lascelles and Mbemba in there and Clark shunted out to left back (where he looked awkward imo) inspires me with no confidence. I thought Manquillo looked woeful defensively as well, despite what some said. I'd keep Clark at centre half and hope for the best with Gamez and Manquillo at full back.
  5. http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/thread/270253/joselu-answer?page=19 Stoke fans seemingly rate him
  6. Jeez, I'd forgot what it felt like to have pure hate running through me watching Newcastle, like.
  7. I actually thought he looked alright until he was sent off. He definitely looks fitter and able to cover more ground. Having said that though; he's a fucking stupid prick.
  8. I think there is a load of blatant negativity around the club at the moment in a time when it should be the opposite. If we were all guns blazing and not sliding towards crisis once again, with the owner and manager having it out in interviews, I'd fancy us to win. Luckily, Spurs are in a bit of a crisis themselves. 1-2 defeat I reckon though.
  9. Sheer nonsense quotes. Why even mention Man City in the same breath? I've not seen a single fan demand competition with City, not even the thickest. However, competing with the likes of fucking Brighton and Palace would be nice.
  10. He's on now saying he's a poor billionaire and we can't compete. Well pack up and fuck off then. No point in sticking around if we can't compete with the likes of Brighton and Huddersfield.
  11. Huddersfield taking their spending to 50M. We're some disgrace like.
  12. It'll be sheer apathy from me if it does go tits up like. I'm not one to flounce, but if it all ends in tears again due to those running the club to disastrous effect, I'll be making an effort to sack the whole lot off. It feels like a last chance saloon with Ashley et al for me anyway.
  13. Its absolutely obvious how much he's been dicked about. The quotes make it clear. Same old s*** with this club man, absolute charlatans the lot of them. The whole lot is so disappointing really. If there was any time to back a manager, to do things properly, it would be now. Sadly, in keeping with the way we have been run for a decade now, it's clear that we're going to scrimp and scrape. If we have a good season with this squad, It'll be testament to Benitez really. I think we'll be hard to beat, he'll set us up well and we'll finish around mid table. All good and well, but as always, we have the potential for so much more with this set up. Potential that we will never realize under Ashley. I know this is a negative post considering a ball is yet to be kicked but fuck me, this summer doesn't half feel like an opportunity missed; whatever happens in the forthcoming season.

  15. dat ambition. Doubt Rafa merely wants to 'stay up' this season. What we should do, is invest the f***ing necessary amount to make the squad fit for purpose. Which in my opinion, we haven't and we wont. I think Rafa and most fans would be happy with survival. I'm not sure. Not investing in the playing squad so that we end up finishing 15th-17th is a bit of a waste when Benitez is manager like. Cant see him sticking around longer if we struggle to survive and it's clearly down to the quality in the squad.

  17. Reports on twitter that this dunce turned down Metz.
  18. I'll always remember the sheer audacity of him taking off his gloves to save Vassell's penalty. Then promptly stepping up to score and knock us out. Cunt.
  19. Arfa was a dodgy player in the premiership.
  20. It absolutely would not surprise me in the slightest if it had a buy back clause like.
  21. One of the worst strikers I've ever seen at NUFC being honest.
  22. That's exactly what happened with Assou-Ekotto, he said as much in an interview. He wasn't passionate about football, just happened to be good at it and was only doing it for the money. I doubt he's the only one but he's then only one I can think of who came out and said it. Yet, if you look at his twitter, he's a clearly a big football fan. Often tweeting about games he's not involved in.
