  1. I think it's got to be difficult when he's getting so few chances though, the fact that you're going all the way back to a penalty in September to think of chances he's missing is evidence of that. There's got to be a tendency to snatch at chances when your job is to score goals but you only get one half chance every three games. Conversely, he did draw out a top class save from Hart in the first few minutes, and was a hair away from scoring at Fulham (pulled up for offside, replays showed he really wasn't). Apart from the chances that have been mentioned in the last couple of posts, has he really had any other real opportunities to score that he has squandered? 5 or 6 chances in 10 odd games is damning evidence of our complete lack of creativity for one of the most lethal finishers in the top division.
  2. Can't read that Dave. Mind giving a summary?
  3. Stupid question alert! Any chance playing on the right could take away his goal scoring ability somewhat? His natural instinct will always be there I suppose, but what about confidence in his own movement and finishing ability? We've seen how players like Alan Smith who was a half decent striker only for that to be completely removed from his game.
  4. Ashley spending money before they can actually play for us. Papiss Cisse. January 2012.
  5. He's already scored at Old Trafford once this season. Will do it again coming off the bench.
  6. 66 pts after bonuses, not a bad haul. Snodgrass, Begovic, Huth and Michu with the bonus pts.
  7. I think that's just what they are :lol In any case, it's just statistics, if you've been following football for long enough you know that it's rare for top teams to drop points against lesser teams in two or more games in a row. Of course it's not a rule and sometimes it doesn't go that way, but honestly looking at them and looking at us atm that seems a quite remote possibility.
  8. 32 pts with Michu, Mata, Torres and RVP © still to play. Once again my Stoke trident of Begovic, Huth and Shawcross come through, and a goal from Snodgrass to back that up. Defoe cack yet again, but this one time it actually paid off.
  9. He's never rubbished stuff in a 'I'm not leaving' way. He's loving every second of this tbh. Yeah i should have used "played down" not "rubbished" I watched the video. He knows what he was saying/doing, otherwise why go through the trouble of going on TV and risking the wrath of the management the following morning? He's clearly frustrated about how things are going for the club atm but to basically have a go at the club in public is not the way to go (Cabaye too btw...). Cabaye had a go at the club? Or did Ba have a go at Cabaye?
  10. His career can start to go downhill as he becomes a journeyman for all I care. Maybe even burn out. Wouldn't want him back. Not in our situation and not while this manager is in charge.
  11. Get well soon Tito. Always need to remember that there more important things in life than football.

    Injured XI

didimz made this thread just so he could stick Enrique in goal

    Loïc Remy

Fair comment, he might not revert to it just yet. But at least he's buying a player who would fit very well in that set up in case he decides to switch to it finally. Or should his successor be clever enough to realize it's the best we can do with the type of players we have. #potentialsilverlining
  14. Is this a Norwegian pun by any chance?
  15. Is the fucking troll circus in town again? ffs where do these people come from?
  16. I don't think I've ever read a more desperate and attention-seeking thread and OP in all my years on these boards. This one tops them all CG. Well played.
  17. I was desperate for Michu to score for my fantasy team man. It's been that bad
  18. IMO that was a penalty. Yes the keeper should be going for it, but if you cant make the catch, you cant just punch a player full in the face like that.
  19. Up to a mammoth 21 points until Swansea conceded. Down to 18 points when my captain Defoe got booked. Morrison will have to score 4 and assist 3 for me to have a respectable week. That is assuming he plays.
  20. A pitiful 14 pts with Defoe, Michu and Morrison left to play
