  1. Yeah, I absolutely don't get people cheering on millionaires getting even richer Fair enough you don't care about owners pocketing the money, but I give two f***s whether footballers can buy two private jets instead of just one. A lot of footballers come from humble beginnings. If the sport is going to make billions off of their talent, them making lots of money is one of my least concerns. If not then the money would go to Adidas, Sky, Billionaire owners, shareholders etc. If you think footballers making even more money isn't only because Adidas, Sky etc.. aren't making even MORE money, then you know nothing about football. Erm.... that's kind of my point. I'm not going to see Neymar making 500k a week and say the "oh the game's gone mad" when I know other parties are making x1000 more off his name and ability. Now the game has gone mad but it's not because Neymar is making half a milli in a week. Or at least that's probably the least unsavoury element of the whole thing. You're saying you would rather the money went to the player than the big corporate sponsors, and I'm saying the only reason more money is going to the player is because more money is going to the corporate sponsors. They're getting more money, and not less.
  2. Physically no. Mentally, I'm sure it had a massive impact, you could even see it in his body language going into every tackle since.

  4. That's f***ing awful already It might be good only in the way that it might get football to implode and crumble on itself.
  5. It was a very good signing by a fraud of a manager. It's not like Coutinho was plucked out from obscurity ffs
  6. I don't tbh. I love Ritchie don't get me wrong but I do think that if we could get an upgrade on him, then we should go for it.
  7. Wor lass is a massive Real fan, and she says there's no way Zidane will be selling him.
  8. You're probably right. He fits the narcissistic prick profile who always needs to be number 1. 3-4 years not being the one and never having problem not being the one proves the contrary. He's at his peak and at some point he needs to make a move if he really has the ambition to be the best in the world otherwise Messi is going to be ahead of him until he is pst his peak as Messi isn't human and will probably play on for another 5 years at the highest level. No matter what he does and where he plays, he'll never surpass Messi (or Ronaldo) in the best player stakes. Yes there might come a time when both Messi and Ronaldo are on the wane or retired, and he might be the top player in the world for a year or two, but that's about it. I could totally understand him moving for a new challenge, but even if he stays and plays second fiddle, it's not as if he won't be getting picked for Brazil man. Even if he's on the bench at Barca, he'll still be leading Brazil out at the world cup there's no doubt about that. It's very difficult to gauge a player's ambition when they've already won what he's won, and have had the success he's had. Only Neymar himself knows what he really wants, and we can only speculate based on what we see from the outside.

  10. Thrown a right strop at Barca's training camp and clashed with Semedo apparently. Standard cry-baby antics from the petulant w***** clearly trying to engineer a move.
  11. most did...the fixtures were mental for us as well that season; in hindsight that 12 point lead was very misleading given who we'd played (and where) and who we had to play (and where) We also had injuries to Howey and Albert which didn't help iirc?
  12. Very good shot stopper and a bit mental. Comes off his line in a flash and covers angles well. Not sure how well he can organise a defence or about his distribution as I've only seen him for the national team a few times. Was captain at some point at Panathinaikos so must have a bit of a brain on him. Whats he like with balls in the air and balls lofted into the box by Pulis PFM types? Not seen enough of him in league football tbh. He definitely likes to come off his line so I would presume he's comfortable coming for crosses.
  13. Definitely. I would take Reina over any other keeper we can afford.

    Loïc Remy

As if we're still talking about this guy
  17. Is it possible to love this man any more than this? How much easier would it have been for him to sack off an open meeting with fans, and just hide away in frustration?
  18. just as well as the ancient proverb said something about 'beware Greek caring giffs' Plus one of our lot would probably punch the wooden horse.
  19. I wonder what that actually sounds like? Possibly a loud shrieking scream followed by the sultry sounds of liquid bowel movement as Ashley sanctions a bid.
