  1. Simple question SEMTEX: Does Steven Gerrard play on the left of a midfield 3 for Liverpool? LM!! Hello
  2. Agreed in principle. Can't Huddlestone play the holding role in the meanwhile? Certainly has the frame and passing
  3. So now you're shoe-horning players into positions they're not suited to. Regardless of it being a midfield 3 you still want a left-footer on the left, which leaves you with Gareth Barry. It's the same problem again - we might have the front men to fit into a 4-3-3 but we don't have the midfielders. The best upcoming English midfielder is left footed, Jack Wilshere. Isn't Matt Jarvis left footed also? What about Josh McEachran?
  4. Can't remember who said it in this thread, but Garry Barry is exactly that. A nothing player.
  5. I reckon gggg was alluding to the thread title, which does need bloody changing by now tbh
  6. Agreed. I bet Wenger wished he had a player like him. At least it sounded like it in his post-match shit-chat session.
  7. Considering the hype that's around him, the fact that he's just signed a new 5 year contract and that he's our main striker, I would be disappointed if we didn't get £25m for him. Yup. Fact that he's English (home player) should add 7 or 8 million to his actual value. Oh, as well as his age! Anything less than 25 million now would be a travesty. Still though, if he keeps out of bother, I'd never sell.
  8. and then the ball to Carroll was class as well "Play of the Day" that was! I wish AC had done better with it though as it would have been a fantastic bit of play. The Cheiky Bastard was colossal again today. A Liverpool supporting mate called me at half time asking where we'd found a player like him!
  9. Simply outstanding today!!! In Williamson and Coloccini we have the best 2 centre backs we have had in eons!! I include Woodgate in that since we never really got much joy out of watching him enough times.
  10. That was some performance from Simpson. Keep it up lad
  11. as a finish aye. best goal was the 5th by far for me. the lightning speed at which the ball travelled between Barton's foot and the back of the net was frightening. i think i cheered for that more than any of the other 4. after the 5th I was waiting for a long range humdinger from Barton or the Cheiky Bastard to cap off the night a la Philippe Albeeeeert...
  12. We shouldn't be talking about s*** news stories the day after we beat the scum 5-1. We can talk about whatever the hell we want. If you don't like it, don't come into the thread. what's with all the neesy hate? is neesy the new decky? I can see his point tbf, but still no need for a thread lock
  13. Flashback of that! Magic that was! I have to say Nolan is a top, top, top bloke. A few of my mates met him at Glasto and he remembered and bought them drinks last night! doing what a club captain should do, and that is represent the club in the social surroundings. If he's a responsible fella, long may it continue.
  14. Squad filler surely. Wasn't he skipper at Forest? If he's a level headed individual he will realize where he falls short and work on himself. If not can be easily peddled back to the championship.
  15. I'm somewhat in total disbelief at the way this is panning out in the media and club. I also cannot believe some of what I'm reading on here. No wonder we are shit stuck with this "deluded" label. Let's stick it to the cunts on Sunday first shall we?
  16. ..........................Krul Simpson...Williamson...Coloccini©...Kadar .........................Tiote Routledge.........Vuckic........Ferguson ...............Ranger.......Lovenkrands is how I'd play
  17. "and he can certainly strike them"
  18. Yup. Like a shark is wor Colo he senses them a mile away and wants in :colo: i didn't actually realise till re-watching it last night and thought he was bloody quick to get there to celebrate with carroll so rewound it to see if i could see where he was and bloddy hell if he wasn't where jonas, nolan or tiote should've been. i like it though,if someone else had backed off a little to be able to cover if need be, the way gary speed would often do for bernard to come through. very refreshing to see such commitment and effort from our own. A johnny foreigner no less
  19. Yup. Like a shark is wor Colo he senses them a mile away and wants in :colo:
  20. Spotted that too and asked if anyone at the ground had any idea why the f***er was there!! Nee c*** on here was forthcoming with a reply If it was just a random foray forward then it was bloody good effort!!!!
  21. Jack Collison is one who caught the eye in the recent past. Where was he btw? Injured I presume? and if so, is he injury prone or something? Noble and Collison I'd take off that lot, and no one else. Behrami is a bit of a headless chicken minus the skill of Jonas for me. Parker, been there done that burned the t-shirt. C Cole is far too inconsistent. Considering his relative experience now, he would not be an improvement on Ameobi. On his day though, he is a beast of a player. These days don't come often enough though.
  22. Ok. so I take it the game was played much earlier on in the day and you've all had a laugh and chuckle at it already. Right. carry on
  23. So no one else has spotted this fiercely competitive scoreline? PSV 10-0 Feyenoord Wtf?
