  1. True. The Championship isn't the most...technical league in the world.
  2. I'd be gutted if I were Kadar. He's been solid whenever called upon this season and really don;t see why he shouldn't be played when needed...
  3. This really doesn't fill me with enthusiasm or confidence....

    I hate...

A lot of those fans which currently cant afford to get into watch their teams due to the fact that they've simply been priced out of the game. Footballers are more distanced than ever from the fans- earning hugely unjustified wages- whilst the authorities have become keen to suppress any passion displayed from players or fans. The atmospheres at games in England are shit. The all seater sadia rule is another major negative of the modern game, imo.

    I hate...

I'd hate to be that angry and hateful, tbh. But nonetheless, he's got a bloody point! Sky Sports are tossers, they've had a major contribution to the sterile football environment that English football is played in these days. Apart from the Shearer thing, good post.
  7. I wouldn't mind seeing Ryan Taylor go- very poor player, IMO. But, sadly, as people have stated, we will be keeping the majority of our squad for next season. The only players that should really be ushered to the exits of SJP are Butt, Geremi, Pancrate, R.Taylor and possibly Smith (but that is highly unlikely). Players like Kadar, Forster, Lua Lua and Ranger should probably be sent out on loan as next season will be invaluable to them for experience. But with what we'll have to spend we will most likely have our hands tied and therefore be shopping in the transfer market equivilent of Lidl or Aldi, as opposed to the traditional Marks & Sparks or Sainsburys. Lets just hope that the 'feel good' factor will keep us running for a couple of months should we be in the PL next season.
  8. The bit in bold sums up my opinion as well. Was there only once sadly, but it was one of the best days of my life. It was last season vs. Bolton at home, last home game with Keegan in charge and despite not such a great performence it was absolutely fantastic. Really looking forward to going to SJP this year again. Well said, mate. I've only ever been to SJP once as well- was against Wigan when we beat them 3-1 in Roeder's caretaker season. Easily one of the best days of my life. I'm absolutely dying to get to SJP soon...
  9. It's an immensely iconic stadium. A representation of Geordie folk and Newcastle itself, its a work of art in my eyes. When I feel down about this club I look at St.James' Park. It just fills me with pride every time without fail- I remember my first visit to it about 4 years ago. Probably the most exciting day of my life. Beautiful stadium. I just find it a shame how its been vandalised with that disgusting Sports Direct logo on the Gallowgate end. That's where the club crest should be, no some scummy advertisement.
  10. Fingers crossed Puma deliver. I reckon it'll be alright. If it disappoints, I'll probably buy myself the Fairs Cup shirt of Toffs. Anyone have that? Is it any good?
  11. http://i46.tinypic.com/2dl6ss8.jpg Love this! Just move the Puma logo onto a black stripe to make it a white cat and we're in business...
  12. Same. The main difference being that Scousers tend to be thieving little scallys..
  13. I've been thinking this too. It'd be very unfair on Harps to drop him for Krul, but its tempting and sending him out on loan would be pointless due to the fact he's our no.2. This season he's got to hope for either/and an injury to Harper or a good cup run.
  14. Should we beat Albion I think the confidence we will gain will make us feel invincible for the rest of the season, I'd fully expect us to go on and achieve promotion should 3 points be ours.
  15. The best Coyle will be able to do with Burnley is establish them as a mid-table side. At best. Bolton have the potential to be a top half team. Not a huge difference, imo. I think he should stay with Burnley for another season or two and then look for something a bit more adventurous. When Bolton got into Europe under Allardyce they weren't competing again Spurs, Villa, Man City and Fulham (and to some extent Liverpool) OUTSIDE the top 4 places. Its a different situation now...
  16. Personally I would vote "No". However, I think he should give it till the end of the season and then sit down and look at each clubs positions and consider his options. Bolton or Celtic? I'd pick Celtic.
  17. Looks like Rob Lee with long hair...

    Bellamy

Agreed. That was absolutely horrific. And then to get hammered by Man Utd in such a lethargic performance in our next game was too much for me.... As for this Shearer ruling all debate- I refuse to believe he wanted Bobby to go, nor do I think this was what got him the sack. The board had become short sighted, they couldn't understand why we weren't pissing all over teams after a couple of good finishes in the league. Grumbles started and before you know it they saw it fit to sack him. The media played a key role in all of this as well...
  19. Wouldn't mind seeing: ---------Krul-------- --R.Taylor--S.Taylor--Kadar--Tozer ---Pancrate--Guthrie--Butt--Lua Lua ------Ranger------Lovenkrands----
