  1. Carroll warming up apparently.... This could be a nervy end to the game...
  2. YYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
  3. Personally I don't hold much of a grudge against Shay for the way he left. It was a messy situation and the clubs directors had turned some of the players against the club. I can see how it could have been the last straw for Given, although it does sadden me the way he left us. But had we got double the £6m we recieved from him, would some of the anti-Given brigade be so aggrieved to his leaving? As for Keane's comments....well tbh. The man is a douchebag. Did anyone see the way he spoke to that journo at the same press conference after his phone went off? The mans an idiot. I found it fairly ironic how he was dismissing the handball as cheating etc and urging everyone just forget it, that its over now...to let go. Well, if that's the case Roy then why did you go on a rant about something that happened 7 fucking years ago?
  4. Would love to see a Prem side like City come to SJP in front of a full house. The atmosphere would be fantastic if we were to win. However, as numerous people have said I'd like to see players like Lua Lua, Krul and Kadar stretch their legs. They need to play. But it'll be Arsenal away, lets face it.
  5. Will translate his entire answer then... José Enrique: "I'm already in a big team. Newcastle are a great club. City might become a big team but Newcastle is one of England's greats and I'm very happy to be here". My god I love that man...
  6. Sounds like its only a matter of time till we make a brake through. No doubt I've jinxed it...

I don't debate the need got him to leave but, answer my question. What will a protest on his shop or the stadium achieve? I use the last protests as the perfect benchmark. They achieved absolutely nothing, the club wasn't sold, keegan wasn't brought back. It wasn't sold but it was put up for sale...

That's the most constructive and intelligent post on this thread so far. I know. I'm well know for my sophisticated ideas.

It would just help vent a lot of built up frustration. Could you imagine how fun it would be?!

Stops me looking like an utter fool by needlessly protesting against somebody whom it has already proven it will not affect at all. But no, we have to do it to show others that we will not stand for it. Why the f*** we should care what other people think about is like, it's not like they don't just make their own opinions anyway! i thought the first protest forced ashley to publicly put the club up for sale no sorry that was you keeping your arse warm! There was a lot out there protesting against Ashley I was supporting the team. There was the same result - he's still here afterall. Jonny Hall confirms himself as the most apathetic, fence sitting apologist ever to post on here! Jonny must be so proud he took the higher ground I'm not taking the higher ground, I'm just refusing to put my efforts into something that clearly won't work. It's been proven in the past that the great fat one doesn't respond to protests and boycotts and whatever, he's greedy and he's smug and will just laugh at any resistance to his plans. When? HE'S STILL HERE. Although they've been on a smale scale, there have been no indications that he'd be 'scared' into selling the club. If there was, he'd have sold for pennies when he first put the club up, or when he put it up in the summer. He hasn't been subjected to either of those things on any sort of scale, never mind small. A few hundred outside after two games last season, f*** me, it's hardly Tiananmen Square. Shepherd got far worse. f*** knows why. If the stadium was absolutely empty, not a soul in but the away fans, he would absolutely s*** himself. totally agree with wullie here last years protests we're nothing, if most of the active fans took part in some part of action, then it would be 10x larger than last seasons protests and much more effective Yeah, go for it. Might as well burn the stadium down in the process as well, really put the frighteners on Ashley - don't worry about the team, they play s*** with or without a stadium. They play s*** with our backing what difference does it make. Jonny the fact you are in such a minority must start alarm bells ringing You must be seeing things sicko mate, I don't remember mentioning the support of the team in that post. It goes back to your ' i was supporting the team while you lot were wasting your breath ' stance. I cannot get over your general apathy for the situation. Short term (the next 6 months) will be a long slog of protest after protest but it will get more militant and more organised in its nature the longer it goes on until he realises it is untenable. The fat c*** still turns up to each game, he really thinks we have forgot everything. He really needs to know the Hull protest was nothing. Fans were staying quiet to ensure the takeover progressed smoothly. Now that is out of the way we have nothing to lose. Anything goes as far as i am concerned from now on to get these wankers out of my club! Well said
  12. If Nike made our strips like Inter or Barca I'd be tempted to change to them. But for the moment I really like Adidas, tbh.
  13. Blefuscu, why on earth do you hate Shay Given?
  14. Christ almighty. I'm fairly sure that Carroll was on our books well before Ashley darkened our club with his presence. As for Ranger- fair enough, good find. But apart from him we're yet to reap any sort of rewards for our so-called scouting 'network'. That article is beyond belief...
