    Alan Shearer

This is a good point. I feel that kids growing up now won't even realise that there was once loyalty in football, and that NUFC used to be a resilient club in terms of holding onto its players. Its now just become 'Oh, Man City want him he'll go. Well, it is Man City afterall'. Sickening. Think back to clubs like City and Chelsea when Shearer was playing for us- they could only dream of pinching our best players (especially MCFC). The club has tumbled so far since then. Shearer really was the last block of gold NUFC had to offer. It's been a tragic decline since. Watching him reminds me how unbelievable supporting Newcastle used to be- like, it was really incredible. I loved it, especially watching him. Moments like when he bullied Man Utd/West Brown off the ball (although it was a 1-3 defeat, it was the moment in itself which was beautiful) at St.James' Park and ran through and scored. You felt it really was Newcastle against everyone, and that you were going to win, so proud of the club. Just an amazing player

I will put all personal hate for Pardew/Ashley aside for this match and pray that we win (or, nowadays, just don't lose), I just cannot bear us taking hidings or any sort of lose from these small time cunts. They know they're lucky to be beating us but obviously love it all the same. We're pathetic in these matches thanks to that horrible prick in our dugout. You just KNOW that he'll blame the Spurs cup match for the loss and probably the atmosphere again. Horrible little coward.

Had a nightmare last night that we lost 1-7 in the derby and no one was annoyed with Pardew. It was horrible. They'll come here again and set up to play on the break, we'll fall into their trap with nervous long balls, go a goal down in the first 20mins and then they will grow into the game and pick us off. It happens every year and it'll happen this year again. I am absolutely fucking dreading it.
  4. You would have thought that about Cardiff (H) last season...
  5. Awkward tie that we will definitely surrender in. These sort of matches are just the worst things in the world, man. So depressing. We should be going to these games with 4-6,000 fans, putting out a strong team and taking advantage of Leicester prioritizing the league and batter them, taking real pride in marching on in the cup. But that will never happen under these horrible people. I always shit myself with nerves beforehand in the fear we draw the mackems, then soon forget the draw even happened tbh.
  6. Man Utd sounded quality tonight, can't lie. They're normally really good tbf, unlike City- the most (self) overrated bunch of fans going. Liverpool give them a run, like. Rarely hear anything out of them, even when they beat us 0-6 they weren't singing the house down. West Ham are pretty decent. Spurs can make a bit of noise too. A lot of the top away supports are outside the Prem- Wednesday, Leeds, Derby, Forest are all pretty noisy and take good numbers. Leeds were very loud when they came up here last year.
  7. Never tracked back, never put a tackle in, never showed passion. Just think about all that passion he didn't show!
  8. He literally is here forever like.
  9. Doubt it. But it will be forgiven because of today. Still, a deserved win. We defended fantastically. Couldn't fault anyone today. edit- apart from Saylor and Ameobi. Both horrendous. Also, how funny is it that literally as soon as Williamson steps onto the pitch Chelsea score
  10. Just watching that video interview with him again and he is genuinely buzzing. The guy was elated with himself after drawing 1-1 away to Burnley. I yearn for those days again where a result like this would have felt like a complete failure and a step back. Desperate.
  11. For him to dismiss Ayoze as a technically 'proficient' player is ridiculous. Why not take Gouffran off in that case? Playing our best striker this season in the #10 role, or in other words out of position. Truly astonishing. But no one realises, or even wants to.

20 days I don't care if we lose these days, or win, but I'm still dreading watching us lose this.
  13. If we lose and both Liverpool and Everton win we will slip into the bottom half, down to 11th. Burnley would only be 5pts behind us, and in our next 5 league games include Chelsea (H), Arsenal (A), mackems (H), Man Utd (A) and Everton (H).
  14. Took us 57minutes yesterday to get a shot on goal. The best part of playing for a full hour. Against West Ham. Let that sink in.
  15. We lost because we weren't dangerous enough without the ball...
  16. Beginning of the crash now. Burnley will beat us to nil. All so transparent.
  17. As I've said numerous times, he's in the wrong country. Full of idiots running the show here. Is that not the case in every country- their are some awful managers in every league- easy to say it in our own Yes, there are poor managers in every league. But he is appreciated far more on the continent, where teams are more willing to accommodate individual flair and creativity.

  19. We are a threat without the ball? What? Seriously, how does that make any sense? We are a threat in transition upon regaining the ball, or, we are comfortable without the ball, but a threat? As SanToon said, he literally has not a clue what is behind this string of wins and it's blind luck. He has no 'philosophy' ffs, don't abuse that word associating it with that fraud. His possession quote is another glorious nail to hammer in his cross. What an unbelievable fool. A threat without the ball...
