Saw that.....and got on it Strange one! Millwall 17/20 worth it?
-
In the past 10 years how many Academy graduates from NUFC can you think have played for England? Not near enough from who I can think of!
-
Wow Get no-nonsense Ryan Shawcross in there instead?
-
Geordie's gave them the 'mackem' tag and with so, so little for them to cling onto in their sad lives they have now tried to convince themselves that it's 1-1 (FTM) now and they actually enslaved us with the term 'Mag'. However, like with so much of their 'facts' - not true

Holland are like England as it stands; a footballing nation not to be taken seriously. They were appalling last night and looking at their pool of players to choose from there is nothing to brag about. Dutch are living off old greats at this stage.

What a goal that was! It was the only way they were going to get one though, Heed were so poor. In saying that, Bromley were cynical as fuck all match.
-
  "My best teams play on the front foot and try and put teams under pressure," said Pardew "Sometimes they get a bloody nose doing that and that's what I'll deliver here at West Brom. And ultimately, hopefully along that line, we can get up to sort of 1.5, 1.7 points a game" @ All of that

Was never quite able to grasp how Geordie's found the mackem accent unbearable, until I moved up here. It's fucking dire.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA

Slates/humiliates players in the media = Proper bloke, tells it how it is.

Skip to about 10:57 and watch the arrogant smarmy smile when he says "So a fined him" Where do you even start? i) That Brummie accent when he gets all fundamental and then hits a wall at the end, part realising what the hell he's just done ii) It's unusual for young players to play as a holding midfielder? But then goes on to describe him as an attacking midfielder? What? iii) 'We're going to need to run more than we have this season vs Bournemouth', then about Sam Field 'It's not enough to just work and work and work' This guy is a joke! Honestly, that was a horrendous interview even for his standards. It has all fallen apart so beautifully CUNT!

I agree with you that defenders who defend first and attack later shouldn't be overlooked or scoffed at, not at all. As I said, I think he's a quality defender. Secondly, I don't think it's utter fucking tripe. You can't go to the World Cup with the aim of looking to dominate possession and having to break down teams with one quality (on the ball) Center Back and another OK (on the ball) Center Back. Especially against the better teams, they'll figure you out. Personally I would take him if I were manager, but I also wouldn't place so much emphasis on England dominating possession as we're not good enough to win like that. He doesn't yet suit the way England want to play, that's unfortunately the way it is for Jamaal. But I agree with people that if some other mid-table fodder can get the nod then you'd have to wonder why wouldn't he get a chance in the friendlies at least.

Don't think he's good enough on the ball to play in the England team when you take into account how Southgate wants them to play. Personally think Lascelles is a really good defender, but his overall game isn't strong enough when you take into account his ability to play passes into midfield/play under pressure. He needs to be exposed to a team that wants to play attacking football, to build play from the back regularly. Unless Rafa (or whichever poor sod is here in the summer) is given money to invest in the squad then that won't happen as we will simply have to play to survive.

Going for Bournemouth (vs WBA) and Preston (vs mackems) double on Saturday @ 3/1.

I know Southampton are much, but a possible new-manager-bounce worries me. 5pts ahead of the drop, but all it takes is one bad week- we lose, results go against us- and it's 2pts with 7 games to play. In saying that, I'm confident we will stay up but there's so much hinging on this Huddersfield game imo. Win that and we'll be fine, but it's another must-not-lose. I'm optimistic but this is football, this is NUFC.

Fucking Villa

Aaaaaaaand breathe!!!

Can't condone pitch invasions like that but I'm glad for WHU fans kicking off. It's about time in this country fans gan proper radge at their owners. Disgusting management of their club.
-
I used to think so as well but not a chance these days. No doubt a large portion of our support would have it in for those who opposed the move. 'Wey man, we cannit compete we have to downsize'.

Appreciate I’m late to the party, but what a great post this is. Well in, Wull. Fantastic post, Wullie There is simply no way that stadium move benefited, or was ever going to benefit, West Ham. As shit as things are for us now, that club will never be the same again.....even if they do start doing well/win a cup. Because they weren't a notoriously successful club their identity and location was everything to them as a club. Now they've lost that and they're even worse. Finished.
