Wow, amazing. What a performance. We fought like absolute animals. Shelvey and Lascelles were outstanding, whilst Dubravka showed he- along with Kenedy- could be the difference to us staying up. Player heroics aside, today showed what an incredible opportunity we have with Rafa as our manager, but most of all it showed what this club can be capable of. It has been so long since we have had a day like today, I genuinely think that our fans have forgotten what it means to be Newcastle United, what it means to play teams at St. James' Park. Today showed that this club is worth fighting every bit for and that we should never give up trying to rid our beautiful club of Mike Ashley. It's incredible to think of the potential we have. This win should be an awakening, not an acceptance of where we are.

We'll be following them soon in fairness. The way both our clubs have been run something has to give at some point. In the next 5 years it wouldn't surprise me if we're both in League 1, or at best one in the Champo, one in L1. They tried to get away with no planning and living week to week and they thought they had cheated death, but ultimately they got what they deserved for settling for 17th every season. We're in the same position, just going about it in a different manner.

Last time I saw Lejuene play was vs Everton and he was no better than Clark in any capacity. Personally think Clark is a competent defender but as an overall footballer he's very poor. He'll die for the cause but when the ball is at his feet he's so uncomfortable.

Just got to keep chipping away and hope that we essentially get enough draws to keep us up, whilst there are enough losses around us to sustain these scarce points. Realistically we're looking at one or two wins away from home and draws at home to the likes of Saints, Huddersfield, WBA etc. Personally don't think we have enough.

Kenedy scores that great chance to make it 2-0 and all of a sudden it's 'whey, Rafa can set a team up away from home like...wor away forms keeping us up here man!'. Both our goals vs Burnley/Palace have come from set pieces, whilst both conceded have been from set pieces. That tells you all you need to know about the quality of player and the quality of the manager. The four points dropped in the last two matches could well end up costing us survival, but they will not be the fault of Rafa. We tried to dominate the ball early on and push our Full Backs high and we could have conceded two or three goals in that time- if we open up and try to play we will get murdered. Anyone expecting anything other than absolute pragmatism is either clueless or completely unrealistic/both.
