Don't laugh lads, we might be perceived as obsessed.
  2. In fairness to them, as poor as they are, they will only work with managers who identify with the Las Palmas 'ethos' of football and essentially refuse to budge. Yes, they're cack atm, but I find them as a club very refreshing compared to the desperate states in our league.
  3. Newcastle/Swansea U2.5 goals Palace/Burnley U2.5 goals WBA/Brighton U2.5 goals Chesterfield/Luton O2.5 goals Atletico Madrid £2 = £23.05
  4. Norwich fans being charged £30 per ticket according to .com. That's absolutely disgraceful. Chelsea are such a soulless, horrible club- one of the many in this country.
  5. A race between Holding, Mertersacker, and Shelvey would be fascinating.
  6. Robbie Savage trying to put on this dramatic, excited voice is just gash.
  7. I honestly thought it was because he was just too slow! He's frighteningly un-athletic tbf- but I agree, stupid yellow card. And all is forgiven
  8. I agree re Luton fans- thought they were going to have the place rocking but were overall pretty quiet, even before being 0-3 down. Still, we have 30-odd thousand and were silent
  9. Atmosphere was terrible- Corner/Gallowgate vocal sections were just full of teenagers or families. Highlight for me was when Luton scored and this spotty teenager lad jumped up and started giving them the wanker sign and the 'c'mon then' gesture with his hands- I thought he was going to fall over he was giving it such an effort Anyhow, we got into the 4th Round- fucking yes! Someone like MK Dons at home would be sweet. I just think an FA Cup run is so important for the club and people have forgotten how fun or exciting it can be to be involved in it past the bloody 3rd Round! Also, I thought Woodman was impressive. Really comfortable with the ball at his feet and not scared to play central passes into Merino or Shelvey. His looking kicking was so much better than the other two. But what fucked me off was when he nearly got caught and gave the ball away in the 1st half and the crowd went ballistic, so much of our home support are utter twats man. Delighted for the lad anyway.
  10. Absolutely, HTT. There are some top, top people involved in the Academy but some of the stories you still hear prove that as a whole the mentality has not completely changed and there are still far too many idiots and egos involved. Fair play to Boro/mackems for their work, and shame on us for employing such morons, but our Youth policy/development has been a shambles for years upon years.
  11. £10 & £5 to see any sort of football these days. Can't even see a National League game for that let alone a Premier League team. Just looked at Blyth's prices for a league game and it's £10 and £5 so I think they've done well. Brilliant prices. £15 in to see Darlo I think? I know I looked into going to a 'Heed match but was put off by the £20 adult price. Football prices at all levels have become an outright disgrace in this country!
  12. Work with a couple of people who played under him at the Academy. They say that besides him just being the ball-boy/extra 5-aside player in training, he is both useless and quite unpleasant. Sadly, Academy's up and down our country are full of (ex-pro) assholes like himself. If we took ourselves seriously at this level we'd tell him to piss off.
  13. Even with a weakened team we should be well capable of winning this. It'll be a tough match regardless, though. Gamez, Aarons, Mbemba, Saivet, and possibly even the likes of Merino and Hayden. I wouldn't at all be shocked if we draw or lose.
  14. He bloody owed us after Everton. Played really well yesterday.
  15. Not compared to Merino. Besides, the bloke can barely control the ball (as good positionally as he has been today....we need more quality on the ball!).
  16. Get Merino on for Diame and we'll win this. This is made for the lad.
  17. Can't believe we aren't ahead in this. Playing so much better not being able to take the easy way out and hit Joselu every time. Times when you watch Yedlin, Murphy, Darlow, Diame and you think it'll be a fucking miracle if we stay up. HOWAY THE LADS
  18. Yeah, you make some good points re fanbase and demand tbf. I agree. How Mourinho is getting away playing the negative football he does is absolutely scandalous. An embarrassment of a manager these days imo. Plays for 0-0's in big matches, it's a load of crap. I don't have problem with teams in the bottom half playing defensively- they almost have to if they want to get results. There's so much pressure on managers now that why would you take risks? This league is now set up to prevent people from playing expressive, risk-taking football....players aren't allowed to be creative or play with attacking freedom. You can totally understand a managers perspective on it. It's sad but it's the beast the likes of Sky have insisted on creating- drama, drama, drama.....every single day. Can't go a day in the pulsating PL without some drama like a manager being sacked for no fucking reason! Regardless of how competitive the league is, you look at the general quality of football in La Liga and it's just lightyears ahead of here. Someone like Real Betis would play half the teams in our division off the park. You look at the likes of Eibar as well and what they have become despite their natural limitations and it is a beautiful sight. The Premiership is just a gross, sterile money fight these days. As a supporter I don't think the matchday experience has ever been worse, either.
  19. This is just the type of match we'll be well within a shout of winning, but then some inexplicable individual error will cost us. 0-1. But Stoke are shite, so maybe. Draw is the bare min. here.
  20. I've thought that traditionally they've generally had a decent fanbase- nowhere near the 'best fans in the world' tag they assign themselves, but considering their situation (in D2/3, in Man Utd's shadow) and how localised their support used to be it was decent. Now, they still can't fill their plastic little ground (probably because half of them have been priced out). When you see CL matches and they score an important goal and the camera rushes to the crowd to try and catch some wild celebrations you genuinely do just see people standing up and- at best- applauding. It's fucking disgusting, I truly hope we never turn into that. You can't blame the younger generation just getting into football now. With their exposure to FIFA and everything else that markets the crap out of MCFC, and with how they are just crushing everyone, it's as expected as it is sad to see. Especially youngsters up here, it's heartbreaking.....but what inspiration could they possibly take from NUFC? If your parents don't pass it on it's unlikely you'll find any magic in the black and white right now as a kid. On another note, what will be interesting to see is how City's dominance under Pep will affect the PL. Or it's brand. For me, no one is getting close to them for another 2-3 years, in which time the lack of competition as we have recently known it will become zero competition. Especially if the likes of Valencia & Atletico Madrid can make it more than a two horse race in Spain, and if Serie A keeps picking, people from around the world will eventually start to pay more attention to these leagues. Meanwhile the Premiership will be no different to Ligue 1 or the Bundesliga in teams of a competitive title race. That's what people deserve in fairness for being so arrogant and dismissive of Guardiola's ability to succeed in England. Total fools. Either way, if City are going to ever do one good thing....please be that you send the Premier League/Sky empire crashing to the ground.
  21. Also, Burnley Double Chance could be a good one. Exactly the team Liverpool are muck against.
  22. Got Leeds @ 19/20. At home to Forest who are managerless, felt it was a canny price.
