  1. Far too many student accommodation blocks going up- and very ugly ones too. It really is endangering the beauty of the city. Definitely needs more residential flats.
  2. Spurs playing really poor. We've done well though! Diame If Gayle starts for us in the first game of next season then it will tell you everything you need to know about this club (if you didn't already...).
  3. Good read, but a couple of contradictions: - I would not want to be the mackems (ever, ever, ever....but especially now), or a club like Coventry City; I don't think they've had much fun over the years. - Burnley are going to be playing in Europe next season and have built/retained a strong identity under the fantastic management of Dyche. This comes down to management, not so much the Premier League. I fucking hate the Premier League and all this pussy-football, mickey mouse fairytale bollocks it spins out thanks to their bitch, Sky Sports. However. If you are managed terribly it is no fun at all in football. I can't imagine Sheffield Wednesday fans got a tingle in their knob ends losing to Burton Albion at home this season, just to top off years and years of Champo/L1 football thanks to mismanagement and shit football. However, I don't think being a Stoke City fan or Swansea City fan has been particularly fun either, just making up the numbers and doing what they have to in order to survive/get paid to pay out ridiculous money. Ultimately, if your club is run well you will have a lot more chance of enjoying your football (look at Millwall, look at Burnley/Spurs, look at Accrington Stanley). The problem is that a lot of owners are happy to run a club in the Premier League to simply be a part of the payday. That is the problem. At the end of the day, the matchday experience in the Premiership is absolutely shite. The matchday experience in the Football League, as a whole, is far better. For me, as long as NUFC are in the top division we have a chance to become what we should be; a club that plays in Europe every season and competes strongly for cups. You cannot tell me that in the Sir Bobby years they weren't enjoyable- purely because we had ambition. Equally, there were some unbelievable Championship season memories- and that goes back to the blokes point about football being football. If you love your club a goal gives the same feeling to you no matter what league you're in. Anyway, let's see what Leicester City fans think
  4. West Brom board and players conspired against Pardew to get him sacked and make him look bad. I just don't see how he can take the blame on this one, I mean, look at the time he got Newcastle into 5th place. He plays front foot football and unfortunately not all players are prepared to buy into this way of viewing the game.
  5. Looking forward to us topping a group of us, Bangladesh, and Chad.
  6. Don't care what people think of Millwall (I personally like them) but if they make it into the play-off's it will be a phenomenal achievement. And considering what Neil Harris has overcome in his life to do this is great to see as well.
  7. But just think of all the 5-10 yard passes Dier and Henderson can play!! WE'LL WIN THE POSSESSION!

Looking forward to the total anti-climax they face next season with the (lack of) reception/notice every other team gives them. No ones cup final, no 'you're not famous anymore' chants, no shock when they get spanked by Fleetwood Town at home.
  9. The PR drivel off that is on another level, like. Fucking hell. Like they need another sponsorship anyway. Football at the top level is such an embarrassment with shit like that. No dignity.

    Rolando Aarons

Watched a bit of Hellas yesterday vs Benevento and it was honestly one of the most abject performances I have ever seen from a team in their position. He must have been gutted not getting on, they were so bad. Overall though I don't think he's getting the match time that he ideally needs, but looking at his experience from a holistic POV I think it will benefit him more than it would being on loan at someone like Bradford City or Norwich City. More English lads need to go abroad and gain experience imo.

Oh boo hoo Sounds like they expected some sort of counselling session from the Wednesday lads, reassuring them that everyone in football loves classy Sunderland but haaaates big bad Geordie Mags FC and that everything is going to be alright! Suck on it you inbred cunts. Rot. Really like Sheffield Wednesday fans. They have been one of the best set of fans if not the best set when they came to SJP last season, and even the season before in the cup. I went to the away game last season and they had the best home crowd as well. A set of fans who sing their hearts out, and it’s not like they have had much to sing about in recent years. Yeah, agreed, they've got one of the best sets of supporters in the country. Top class.

  13. The amount of chances they wasted was untrue.

Wednesday 19/10 to beat these sorry lot today.
  17. Lascelles worth £75m?
  18. What was the new chant about the mackems? Not the 'look who's fucking laughing now' one, something to the tune of Keep St George in my heart
  19. First half he was really good (as was Diame) but 2nd half wasn't as involved. Some of his passes that led to quick counters were quality. And for me his ability to protect the ball and keep possession is top drawer. Fair enough if he doesn't go to the World Cup, but he should at least be given a chance in the friendly matches. Can't see it though.
