Howe’s version of 4-3-3 only works with that type of No 9. -
Looked like he’d already brought him down before finally getting a touch on the ball.
-
Italy out.
-
Isak must have had a similar clause last season. He looked gutted in a few games when we scored.
-
Gordon’s just a traveller, there’s a touch of Michael Owen about him. I wouldn’t be too bothered if he left. We’d need more than him to go to reset the squad though. We need major surgery.
-
Looks tired, he’s nowhere near one of our main issues. He’s been inconsistent but he’s scored important goals and earlier in the season he was getting fucked about for an ineffective Gordon.
-
After waiting nearly the entire season for things to click he reverted back to the high press with Gordon up front and we had a mini revival. This style of play has run its course, he doesn’t have the players to change it. We look a mess.
-
Utterly pathetic, there was passages of play where 3, 4, 5 passes in a row were misplaced. This was not the game for the fuckers to throw in the towel after being thoroughly humiliated a few days ago.

Ashley could have done this quite easily and sold us for a huge profit. Never understood his lack of imagination.

Newcastle United vs. mackems: 22/3/26 @ 12:00 (Sky Sports)

Results this weekend have been pretty good with Liverpool and Chelsea losing. Win tomorrow and it’s a proper Ronnie Pickering bare knuckle scrap for those European places. Now is the time for a strong finish to the season. We should be aiming for at least 6th in my opinion. -
If scores go in our favour the weekend we could be 4 points off a CL place with 7 games to play. This could happen you know! This could happen!
-
I don’t get to attached to individual players, having lived through Waddle, Beardsley, Gazza and Carroll. Bruno though? I’m half expecting Gordon and some others to happily jump ship but… ’Et tu, Bruno?’ No, it can’t happen.
-
Of course it’s rigged, every single facet of the competition from the ‘Swiss model’ to the seeded teams playing away first, the co-efficient leg up for ‘historic’ teams to the inequitable way the money is divided is there to confer an advantage on those protected clubs. It’s not even a debate.
-
All in the last 16 - there’s only so many you can keep apart. Only Sporting have got to the QF outside that group.
-
It’s an ESL dream; PSG, Bayern, Barca, Real etc. All the other teams funnelled into the slaughterhouse thanks to a rigged seeding system.
-
Some big aggregate scores in CL last couple of days, there’s a massive gap between the wannabes like us and the truly elite.
-
Anfield Agenda here I come…….
-
Haha fuck Liverpool.
-
Hammer the Mackems and things might still be on. A few of the CL/EL competitors have hard games next week.
-
I actually want Spurs to score now.
