  1. You make it sound as though we can win any of those games. I make it sound as though much stranger things have happened. It's bleak, but when there are 8 games to go, anything can happen.
  2. You are not going down because you've lost today. There are 8 games to go. You make it sound like you're in West Brom's position.
  3. Owen needs to come on for someone other than the 2 strikers.
  4. Good game for the neutral. Hope you can turn your pressure into a goal...
  5. Chelsea are the ultimate cretins when it comes to cup draws, mainly the FA Cup. Time and time again they avoid anyone who can realistically beat them. Take this year for example. With all due respect to the following teams, Southend, Ipswich, Watford and Coventry are not what I'd call tough opposition. Surprised they didn't get Hull in the semis. Oh, and Boro. Re: the CL draw, I'm going for Barca, Man Utd, Liverpool and Villarreal.
  6. Re: Rooney sending off, perhaps it makes up for the numerous ones he gets away with?
  7. Although the goals weren't there, the football on display was excellent to watch, in particular Messi skipping past players for fun. This, this a thousand times this. I didn't see much of an attraction. It was perhaps because stupidly I believed the hype it was going to be 4-4 in each game. Of course it's good to see Messi play so well. But he does in most league games as well. The only difference, particularly IIRC at Old Trafford, was that Man Utd's defence was too solid/packed for intricate passes to work. And as much as the talent is there, it was frustrating. Don't get me wrong I'll hypothetically be tuning in for, as you say, the technical ability on show, but I'll most likely watch generally more end-to-end, entertaining matches this year.
  8. I'm genuinely delighted about that decision by SKY. Two teams who have something to fight for rather than two w*** london clubs who pretty much know where they'll finish (2nd-3rd and boring lower mid table). I'd f***ing hate to watch Spurs Chelsea. For the neutral I'd have thought it would be a more attractive proposition? Of course personally I love seeing Everton on TV so much.... but for the netural, games such as Blackburn Everton, Everton West Brom, Pompey Everton... they're not really that appealing.
  9. Newcastle-Online: Your first choice for Paris Saint Germain tactical dissertations.
  10. I hope you maul them 4-0. A mauling by our standards is 2-0. Scoring 3 against Stoke last weekend prompted global panic. In all seriousness, it's got to the point I can't see us getting beat by someone outside the top 4. Should really be looking to win this afternoon, if we do though it'll most likely be by a single goal. Hope Cahill is fit.
  11. And welcome to the latest in random Everton games bemusingly being shown live on TV. Spurs Chelsea not televised, because Pompey Everton is going to light up your Saturday early-afternoons.
  12. I think he's definitely been a bit of a disappointment that's for certain. One thing that bothers me about him is his apparent lack of urgency and his indecisiveness. That could be because he's had experience playing in relatively better defences. Thus, if he is indecisive or makes a wrong choice, he knows that whilst it's not certain, there's a good chance a fellow defender has the competence/experience to recognise this quickly and bail him out. This could be higher up the pitch, and even go unnoticed, as opposed to a howling mistake. This in-built attitude could be what's going wrong. Just an idea, anyway. If it were the case, it would certainly be an unprofessional way of approaching the game, relying on others.
  13. I'm confused by what people are saying about Coloccini. Is it because he has been generally awful, or that he isn't living up to his £10m tag? If it's the latter, how exactly do you 'live up' to the price tag, single-handedly save the day? From what I've seen, he's had good games and bad games. Not the assured defender that Newcastle require but give him time. I fully understand why people are criticising, but if there are calls for getting rid of him (again, I don't know whether there have been or not because I haven't read THAT many comments about him), then I really wonder what the point is.
  14. Why do people think a potential Man Utd Barca rematch would be any different to the 2 games last year?
  15. Do you look at form that much or just go with what feels good? For me I'm inevitably one off, often due to some ridiculous shock result.
  16. Ronaldo, you're a cheeky little betting supremo - didnt you win 200+ the other day? Tell me your secret! Didn't do too well tonight mind. Oh did it not come in? Twas the way he phrased it! But still, more success than me.

  18. Haha, that's fantastic. Almost as good as Nicky Butt, Steven Taylor and Damien Duff all combining to score a goal. Haha. Ha... ......
  19. SAF must be hitting the Portugese wine tonight in jubilation.
  20. Desperately want Fernandes back at Everton and given a solid chance to shine. The times I saw him, he was a classy player. And we have very few. (Well, one.)
  21. That name... in a betting slip.... It gives me nightmares mate. A small £2 treble on Scunthorpe Southend and Brentford.. and £1 on Arsenal, Tranmere, Walsall, Rotheram and QPR-Swansea draw. Any sort of win will make me happy the ways things are going.
  22. West Brom possibly missed their last chance to realistically get themselves out of it? West Ham were abysmal, there was a chance there.
