  1. We'll agree to disagree.
  2. One of my memories from the 2007 tournaments is a question. What the f**k happened to that Rigters lad for Holland? Didn't he go to Blackburn?
  3. They will get some very good players. They'll all however be mentally weak, i.e. have no sort of loyalty or common sense, i.e. Robinho. But maybe first they should think about climbing the league table, coz at the moment, I'd say us, Villa and Portsmouth are all more likely to finish in a European spot.

    Nile Ranger

Newcastle should save their worst result of the season for when Ranger starts. A 6-1 defeat to I don't know, Stoke, may have been disheartening - but who the hell cares, if Ranger overhead kicks it in from 30 yards.

Is this Relegation-ometer being taken after every match? Expect the only values to be either 10 or 1.
  8. Not in modern history as such a poor side led the PL in December.
  9. Only question is whether it'll be through fair or foul means.
  10. and how has it backfired exactly? Signed for free, been available for nearly every game, played quite well and has now got a minor hamstring injury. Oh noes. Anyway, delighted with our performance on Sunday. Surprised how well we did. Totally bossed the midfield with Arteta playing the holding role to give us a balanced midfield for the first time this season and a first good game from him too. We were on top until we scored and then sat back to see out the game. Spurs put us under some pressure in the last 20mins but nothing too convincing. Jags is just immense . how would you say fellaini is for you? thinking of putting him in fantasy league team. only costs 6.5 He's been hit and miss really. Yesterday was probably his best all-round performance so far, I think he'll get better as the season goes on and he certainly gets himself in goalscoring opportunities which is ideal for a fantasy team. Lien- I never slagged Jagielka but I thought he'd just be a reasonable utility player and nothing more. A young Phil Neville Since getting a regular run at centre half he's been great. No mate I meant I'm eating the humble pie! I never thought he'd cut it at this level for a sustained period of time but this season he seems to have consistently been in the form (recently past 5 or 6 games) that first got him noticed all those months back on our unbeaten run last season. Let's hope it continues.

This is just plain pathetic. No wonder people get pi**ed off by this forum at times.
  13. Sorry, it's just the bold bit seemed to me like a Souness-ism.

Goodison's been a fortress this year. For the opposition. Just pointing out some of the justification of people saying relegation is unlikely. I think it's unlikely down to the fact that although it's going to be messy, there's enough quality to pick up an odd win here and there, and enough spirit from the likes of Kinnear to grind out enough results. It is however a possibility in so much that even a home game against Stoke is causing anxiety, which it really shouldn't, no matter what the situation is. I don't buy this whole "we got points at Man Utd and Chelsea therefore we'll stay up" malarky, due to the other end of the sresults pectre that the team has displayed this season.

Our next 15 games are definitely easier on paper then our first 15 and so far we've played three of the top four all away from home. Implying you'll get results at home?

Yep, and Tony Hibbert still gets into our team. One of the greatest goals I can remember in my lifetime being scored against us. Iirc, didn't Bellamy get the winner after about 58 deflections? One way or another, our games always seem to provide entertainment. Indeed he did get the winner. I remember saying to my dad before that goal that it would take something special to beat Richard Wright. Those were the days mackems.gif I think we had about 6 1-0 wins in a row before that game as well, I think Super Kevin Campbell put us ahead here. Could have been 7. Before Shearer's tap in.

    Are you implying Newcastle aren't?
  19. "Are you Chris Kamara?" "Yeah" "You're an UNBELIEVABLE c**t" Yes? No? Go on, it was good. Maybe not.

I sincerely hope relegation doesn't become a reality but I get the feeling a lot of people are giving 1's 2's and 3's, not out of purely thinking Newcastle will definitely stay up, but that it's still relatively early in the season. It's a real possiblity unfortunately. I see no reason why things will suddenly pick up for a sustained amount of time, or to a good enough level, i.e. to be entirely safe from the relegation fight.
  21. If you're Coventry, you could knock the hoardings down to ensure a run-up.

    Sigh, here we go.
  23. Who'd'a'thunk it? Chelsea and Boro in easy-home-draw shocker.
