I think at the moment the impact of results and how players react to them is all-important. If you can get another positive result against Spurs then perhaps a better 2nd half of the season can be looked forward to. Due to the competitive [crap standard] nature of the league, even a loss against Spurs would leave you within sight of top half. For the first time I can remember, the general look of the league may not be decided until Mar/Apr.

Think a lot of "famous" people are in that mould really. Often quite canny people and approchable if needs be.

It looks a lot more like the Emirates than you're letting on. Poor effort from the club. No doubt the facilities will be great but no real thought has gone into it and it isn't unique in any way. That's what I hate about the new breed of stadia, they're so f***ing bland. The Emirates is a superbly furnished place to spend an afternoon in your leisure pursuit, there's no doubt you'll be comfortable, but it is every bit as soulless as the Riverside, the Reebok or the Ricoh. Everton's Kirkby plan (forgive me, I'm behind on developments there - in fact, fill me in on them if you've got time) looks like the worst of the lot. Goodison may be decrepit in parts and unserviceable, but it IS Everton. Clubs seem happy to sell out that kind of history a little too easily for my liking. You're right mate, the Kirkby stadium is bloody awful. Thankfully it has gone to a public enquiry where it is being torn to shreds for breaking loads of planning rules and doesn't look likely to go through. Out of interest do you live there? Good to see the commitment coming from Darlo! I actually live in the middle of nowhere, but Darlo would be the nearest train station to get up there. Ah right. There's a fairly large area of nowhere surrounding Darlo in all fairness. The place itself feels like nowhere on some occasions!
