  2. Decent enough. You guys keep going from strength to strength under Martinez no? Glad we actually smashed someone at last, it's been coming. That was with none of Baines, Barkley and Mirallas starting, too. Acid test at Old Trafford. We should be looking to certainly get a point at least, there is absolutely no way anyone can convince me their team is light years ahead of ours. They have a couple of world class players and a hell of a lot of mediocrity. The fixture represents as much a mental challenge as anything else. A trip to OT under Moyes meant hoping for a point at best. I'd rather we go for it, risk losing (which we still regularly did) but give ourselves a chance of winning. We can't consider this game a free hit or any of that total bollocks, not if we've any aspirations of getting somewhere this season. Get at those fuckers and if we are to get beat, make them work like fuck for it. Either way, our record in these sort of games simply has to improve. It's genuinely hard for it to get worse. Wins at Man Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal since (I think) 1995 altogether comes to a total of zero. 12 years since a win at Anfield. If I didn't laugh I'd cry.
  3. What a lovely weekend of football.
  4. Thought Gouffran was your best player. Like Steven Naismith, only with actual footballing ability.
  5. Hilarious result today, but I'm not putting much weight on it. Off day, things went against them. Doesn't mean I don't find it delightful, mind.
  6. He's a grafter indeed. Goal caught me in the bathroom. Did he do the John Cena celebration? Muniain got it. No Cena, thankfully.
  7. Seem to remember he has a pretty awful scoring record, more of a grafter. May be wrong. Really like the new San Mames.
  8. That had to be 2-0. Probably regret it.
  9. This could be absolutely massive for Real Madrid and, it has to be said since there is no sign of them fading yet, Atletico.
  10. 15, mate. League goals, this is. I'd be surprised if he gets less than 20. RM simply create too much for him not to, and he looks fully settled now. Not counting anything yet though.
  11. It's happening, brother, it's happening. 7 now, I believe?
  12. I don't think PSG are a top contender like a Madrid or a Munich, but they've got a chance. They need to be taken seriously, certainly more so than last year. They've made clear improvements this year IMO. Litmus test is obviously what happens when they come up against someone of real top-class quality.
  13. A Leverkusen win will make things very interesting in Man Utd's group. Can't see it unfortunately, reckon they'll grind a result out. Aren't Juve pretty much out if they don't win tonight as well?
  14. Ibra, Bale and Tevez to score @ 13/2

Absolutely batshit crazy decision if they get rid this early. This noton is a total overreaction to their below-par performance vs Man City being exploited by the best side in the league on their day playing like the best side in the league and more. They're still looking to click. You don't give a manager £100m to spend then when they haven't clicked in November decide to get rid. Give him some fucking time ffs. I've no doubt at all they'll improve - plus, they're only 2 points behind the CL spots while playing "badly". Lunacy to even be discussing this, but I guess that's the world we're in now. Lack of instant success makes you vulnerable for the sack.
  16. BTTS in the Celtic and Schalke games + Chelsea to win.
  17. Nice one Andy. That's a free bet on tonight's footy essentially.
  18. Do enjoy last-minute horse-racing punts. Any good?
  19. 71. Much-needed in the money league I'm in after some mediocre performances recently. Remy, Sturridge, Giroud, Oscar and Mirallas all getting involved. Walker with a tremendous -2.
  20. Think I was on course for 2 points until getting the 2-2 last night. Pretty woeful even by Mark Bright's standards. GW13: Aston Villa 1-0 Sunderland Cardiff 0-2 Arsenal Everton 2-1 Stoke Norwich 1-2 Crystal Palace West Ham 2-1 Fulham Newcastle 1-0 West Brom Tottenham 2-3 Man Utd Hull 1-4 Liverpool Chelsea 2-1 Southampton Man City 3-0 Swansea
  21. Seems that Guardiola is trying to emphasise the fact that he's not resting on any laurels. Who knows, if he hadn't have been so clear about how severe an issue this is, perhaps next time leaked tactics would have cost them some points. He seems intent on not only maintaining immaculately high standards, but making sure everyone knows that he is.
  22. Well, that was an interesting derby. It's amazing what happens when you actually attack Liverpool. Not that I'm inferring we've had a consistently defeatist attitude in this fixture for countless years or anything. That'd be an absurd suggestion... Neither team could defend, which must have made it a bloody brilliant game for the neutral. We completely fluffed several one-on-ones while Liverpool will rightly point to that Allen chance. Could have been 6-6 quite easily though I feel we had more clear chances (which we messed up). Mirallas should have been off. Dreadful challenge, have no idea what he was playing at. However, I see Gerrard's cowardly attempt at elbowing Barry has been glossed over. He turned his back to the ref and was smirking afterwards - he knew exactly what he was doing, however I'm not surprised by such actions from such a classless, cheating cunt. I guess it was a fair result in the end. Once again we're drawing too many games, however as I've said before, I like where we're going under Martinez given the evidence of the first 12 games. Some frustrating draws but also some very good football and our only defeat was against a Man City side who played bloody well. Need to give the man some time. Oh, and Barkley. Again. 19 years old and he's running a Merseyside derby. Faded a bit in the 2nd half but he's going to be exceptional in a few years if he continues like this.
  23. Some tasty looking games for the neutral this weekend. To name a few: Everton v Liverpool, Dortmund v Bayern, Sevilla v Betis, Man City v Spurs. And don't get me going on Accrington v Torquay!
  24. That went well. Stuttgart were vile.
  25. This is really poor. Stuttgart trying to play on the counter attack and not pressing whatsoever. Gladbach aren't going for it either. Obsessed with passing it back to Stegen at every opportunity hoping Stuttgart come at them, which they aren't.
