    Football pet hates

Players getting fouled then sitting on the ground for a while, looking at the ref with an "oh come on, you have to book him now, right?" expression on their face.
  2. As much as I detest the twat, I can see why it's a red. Total stupidity from Paulinho regardless of whether you think it's a yellow or a red.
  3. Some of these Spurs players are simply playing poorly. Villas-Boas obviously needs to take some of the blame but some of his players are playing badly.
  4. Yes, yes it is. Now shut up and let Steeevie Geeeeeeeee speak.
  5. Didn't he do well? Nope, he didn't.
  6. Welbeck and Cleverley banging them in. Well I never. Or should I say "Welbeck I Clever!" Nope, I shouldn't.
  7. Enjoyed that, like. "Do you have any regrets about that tackle?" "No."
  8. Van Persie out for a(nother) month.
  9. I was, although the pubs probably weren't Midnight kick off won't go much better. If anything, it'll only increase the number of people out as it won't be seen as "too late". It's going to be total carnage.
  10. The last thing Everton & Newcastle want as long as we're in touching distance of Spurs, is Soldado scoring. May the drought restart. Well, yeah, I want all opposition players to have their legs blown off if possible, but in the absence of that, I don't mind seeing a good player getting unfair stick getting a few goals.
  11. It was an obscenely easy group for Spurs, but they dealt with it without any fuss. Good to see Soldado bag a few.
  12. Learnt my lesson with the Europa League. Unless there is some massive value, stay away. Group stages, anyway. Knockouts might be a bit better as a few teams begin to take it more seriously.
  13. What a total shambles the whole thing is. How can you "forget" about a suspended player?
  14. Increasingly likely I won't be able to play due to my knee, so I am putting my name forward for managerial duties for the Reds. I intend to wear the archetypal suit jacket/coat combo and bring a clipboard, notepad, Pardew glasses, 15 packets of Haribos and some frankly unbeatable tactics.
  15. Unsure why Juve can look so imperious in Serie A yet struggle so much in the CL against teams they should be beating. Same happened last year IIRC.
  16. Man Utd's group wasn't easy whatsoever. They negotiated it very well, and Moyes at least deserves some sort of credit for that.
  17. People are damn confident of Man Utd winning 2-1. GW 16: Man City 2-1 Arsenal Cardiff 1-2 West Brom Chelsea 3-0 Crystal Palace Everton 2-1 Fulham Newcastle 2-1 Southampton West Ham 1-0 Sunderland Hull 1-1 Stoke Aston Villa 0-1 Man Utd Norwich 2-1 Swansea Tottenham 2-1 Liverpool
  18. Why does this happen so often in South America? Dangerous and farcical in equal measure. And yes, I'm very aware of the trouble England has had in the past. That's quite the wall the riot police have created. Not sure it's 10 yards back though.
  19. Now over to Argieland and Quilmes v River Plate. Ref was already struck with a bottle in the first half, now the fans throwing random things onto the pitch and the game's interrupted again. Quilmes players pleading with fans to stop.
  20. Dave said it yesterday. Ah, reet. I'll be sure to review all the thread next time.
