  1. How much? It's a joint bet with Prophet. But, err, it's comfortably over £200, put it that way. Part of me thinks because it's money we didn't have 24 hours ago that it's all fine, and the other part is questioning what the fucking hell I'm doing.
  2. Reminder for anyone who didn't know that bet365 have got their usual up to £50 bet offer on tonight.
  3. An unreasonable amount of money which was accrued yesterday all on Man Utd and Chelsea BTTS.
  4. Take your point but I think the game is developing at such a pace, Man Utd risk being left behind in terms of the top, elite teams. And for me, the main part of that development comes from an excellent central midfield who can dictate the pace of a game and have the ability to make things happen. I see very little happening from Man Utd's current midfield. Did Kagawa leave a turd on Ferguson's desk and now slept with Moyes' wife? Baffles me as to why he not only doesn't start, but is an instrumental player for them. If no significant addition is made in the next week, then Moyes has got one hell of a job on his hands to win the league, especially if - obvious but worth stating - Van Persie picks up an injury. Cleverley and Welbeck, man. I don't think myself and Froggy will ever agree on these two but the notion of them being regular starters for serious European contenders is frightening. Good luck to them, hope they do improve and get to the next level but I simply can not see it.

    Other clubs' transfers

Levy must be laughing his tits off here.
  6. A lot of "someones", really. Take Van Persie out that side and just look at it. Take away the Man Utd shirts. Look at that line-up. It's really not very good at all - fair play to Ferguson last year in that respect. What's the crack with Valencia? Think it was the season before last he ripped some teams to pieces, looked a hell of a player. Seems to have completely dropped off since then.
  7. 1-1/2-2. Hope it lives up to its potential.
  8. We had exactly the same problem last year, and the year before that, and the year before that. Dominating games and not winning. Dropped a criminal amount of points in games like this in recent years. Dunno what it is, it's happened with different players.
  9. We've played some very good stuff in the first 2 games, yes. Too early to judge really. Not happy at all about not winning yesterday but at this stage, I'll put it down to "one of those days" which, in fairness, it most certainly was. If it starts happening regularly then it's a worry.
  10. I want to defend him because I like him, despite his crap form. It's getting harder and harder to defend him though. I think he still offers a fair bit even when not scoring but I'd be surprised if Kone doesn't start next week. Jelavic is a good player, I maintain that. That form in his first few months was no fluke. Barkley is fucking class. Not bad for 19. Have a hell of a player on our hands, hope any mistakes he makes (and he will make mistakes) don't get to him and he learns from them, which I reckon he will.
  11. 25 so far, but actually relatively pleased. Still got Soldado, Bony, Zabaleta, Hazard and Silva © to play.
  12. If you told me we had 2 points from 2 games against Norwich and West Brom, I'd probably be fuming. However, we've played some damn good stuff in both games and today was absolutely 'one of those days'. Foster was in unbelievable form and the woodwork just wouldn't fall our way. Shit result, but plenty to be positive about. On another day we could easiily have stuck 5 past them and they would have no complaints.
  13. Apologies for the inevitable potential shoddy quality of thread management, or shall I say, lack of.
  14. Please use the match thread now folks: http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,94472.0.html
  15. What the hell's going on in Hoffenheim? Salihovic scores a penalty then immediately gets sent off. Now Freiburg equalise. Interesting start.
  16. Newcastle (muhahaha) Southampton-Sunderland draw Stoke
  17. The Coral website is one steaming pile of shit. Wanted 3-1 Arsenal when it was 2-0 - all markets suspended for ages for no reason. Now tried to get Bent next scorer, same thing. Absolute garbage.

  19. Forgot he wasn't in my team and I only have a bet on him to score. So no, not currently.
  20. The Al Jazeera Keys/Gray coverage is hilarious. It's a really modern studio, modern technology, but last week they just wandered around the studio, walking past a cameraman, and then mid-match had to interrupt saying we were listening to a different commentary, while in the background you could hear a door very loudly creek.
