Sunderland started all guns blazing here, could easily have been more than 1-0 up already.

A team who have 2 wins this season - both somewhat fortuitous due to them coming against 10 men and both times the sending off changing the game - at 19/20 is in no way good value mate.
  3. Falcao has more sell on value. Ah well, Mike and Bill will be in Madrid soon.

    Sure you don't mean 2.00, i.e. evens?
  5. Me and a mate keeping having an argument about who we'd rather have out of Ibrahimovic or Falcao. Ibra is the better all round player but I'd rather have Falcao in my team.

    Huh? Sunderland aren't 2/1?
  7. I think this bloke is going to be a class act for you. Seems to be improving now he's getting plenty of game time.
  8. In some ways I'd rather have your game.
  9. Cronaldo is certainly not currently in the very top bracket of the greatest players ever - i.e. Messi, Pele, Maradona and so on. He is, as mojo says, a highly tuned physical specimen with a tremendous eye for goal. That's what he is, a damn fast, strong, agile beast who once at full pace is very, very hard to stop. But he's just not on Messi's (and others') level. Watch a typical Real Madrid game. Ronaldo's only real way of getting past people is using his raw pace, i.e. requiring space. He doesn't have anywhere near the same skill as other greats have had at changing direction in small spaces and thus creating chances. 30-35 yards out and in a tight spot, you still think with the very greatest there is danger. With Ronaldo, not so much. When he is using skill, what does he achieve? Quite often very little. That's not a clichéd comment IMO, his backheels etc often create nothing other than looking nice, or it moves the play sideways. He doesn't have the ability of a Messi to evade numerous challenges. Actually, Froggy, you've said it better than I could. He's a physical machine. And that, somewhat oddly, is why he isn't one of the very greatest.
  10. Erm, pretty sure it did. If it doesn't, it's out-of-this-world shit goalkeeping. The same thing which made Adam Johnson's goal at the weekend apparently not very good. I was laughing at the goal, it was like Ben Arfa thought "I am working with idiots, have this."
  11. I thought this was quite an even game. Don't think either team were particularly lucky/unlucky - both hit the woodwork, both had efforts cleared off the line, both had a goal take a deflection. Ultimately it was - at least it looked like - some shite marking for the winner which gave them the points. I thought Anita looked a really tidy player. I think what you missed was someone centrally from midfield linking the play with the front men. Ben Arfa was all over the place trying to do something but it felt very forced (as in there was no-one else doing it). Dare I say if a fully-fit and firing Cabaye was playing instead of Jonas there would have been a different outcome? Don't think it looked like "relegation stuff" at all but maybe that's just my own opinion. Still absolutely convinced you'll finish comfortable top half.

Don't forget we have Everton as well. Nailed on draw.
  13. http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2008/07/20/article-0-014DA29C0000044D-404_468x584.jpg Patrick Stephan Kluivert. Bit of a weird one for me. Can't make my mind up on really how good he was, whether he was one of the greatest strikers of the past 20 years or not really all that at all. Thoughts? Topical one for a NUFC forum as well, of course.
  14. It is sort of made for him to have his crowning international moment in 2014, and lead Argentina to glory. If that were to happen, and it is of course a big if, I'm not sure what else can be said against him being the greatest ever.
  15. Could just put the Chelsea players on the bench?
  16. Nah as he's not even the best Ronaldo of the last 15 years. I was checking some of his stats last night and they're really bloody insane. I was unfortunately too young to appreciate his PSV/Barca years when they were happening so all I have to go off are videos and compilations which I've watched and rewatched. But fucking hell man. What a player in all regards of his game. I know you're a particularly big fan of his, would you say he's underrated in the general context of players of the past 30-40 years? I still think he's unfairly tainted because of his more turbulent later years.
  17. Oh no Street Cleaning Simulator.
  18. It's not just stats with Messi, of course, because you can talk about how he skins players for fun game after game, plays ridiculous through balls, has astonishing close control, finishing, so on and so forth. But there are some truly remarkable numbers to consider: 86 goals in a single year. 86 goals. Many, many teams - some very good ones included I bet - will not have managed that. You'd expect him to get more as well in his remaining 3 games of 2012, barring injury. 283 goals in 352 games for Barcelona. The assists number will be preposterous as well no doubt (29 assists for Barcelona last season alone). Add in his Argentina goals, and it's 314 goals in his career. He is only 4 international goals away from beating Maradona's total. He's only 29 goals away from matching his club career tally too, which will almost certainly happen this season. He is Barcelona's all-time leading goalscorer. At his current rate he will be La Liga's all-time leading goalscorer before the end of next season. He is already 2nd leading goalscorer in the history of the Champions League, with 56 goals in just 74 games. He needs 16 to beat Raul. At his current rate you'd be surprised if this wasn't seen to by the end of next season. Could go on and on, too many mind-boggling records to get through. But here's the most ridiculous number: He's 25 years old. He will go down as the greatest ever.
  19. Made it look like more time had passed.
  20. Getting a decent run going currently. No spectacularly high scores generally getting 50-60+ points each week which is a very decent average in my book. Got 49 so far this GW with Santon and Sessegnon © (I know...) to play.
  21. Ban this sick filth. I love the 'ban this sick filth' meme that's growing on here A joke coming from a farming simulator pisstake video ffs. This forum never ceases to amaze.
