  1. It's definitely a deep-rooted mentality at that turgid club. Nothing can ever be their fault. Is it the players'/manager's fault? Course not, all the referee. Just no balance at all. He's not saying it's part of the reason they're doing poorly (for example I think we've had a number of very dodgy decisions go against us this season, but the bigger reasons we're not doing better are shite finishing and shite defending). He's actually going on about it game after game, "we played well, but it's the ref wot dunnit." Fuck off Rodgers, fuck off Liverpool. Enjoy your failings.
  2. Found this oddly hilarious What the fuck? The commentary from about 1.50
  3. 58 points from just 9 players playing, pleased with that. Still can't get over me getting in-form Shane Long and WBA dropping him?
  4. Nice try but I don't think we can blame him for anything. Turned his back and flapped his arms about when the winger feigned to cross. Erm... He did - Lennon absolutely skinned him.
  5. Liverpool were denied their win due to their players not being good enough.
  6. So many of my players didn't play today, but fortunately had 4 who scored. I bring Long in and WBA inexplicably drop him?
  7. For the 2nd goal, although Jones completely destroyed Williamson, Coloccini was more to blame IMO. Completely switched off.
  8. Walcott's heavy touch bounced off Jagielka's leg and fortuitously back to him, and his finish went above Howard due to the ball deflecting off Hibbert.
  9. We will draw our way to glory. That's 1 win in 8 now btw with a trip to the Etihad this weekend followed by Spurs. Not such a great start to the season after all and week after week we're completely fluffing up games we should have won. Gong to bite us in the arse massively at the end of the season.
  10. That's a big part of my thinking - both defences are liable to be barely tangible.
  11. Very likely to be a much better game too.

    Graham Carr

Williams will need to bloke some shots tonight.
  13. Shitty background, pointy fonts, 3/10. Would not post.
  14. I assume you're saying that with an element of sarcasm Preposterous I tell you!
  15. Exactly. Absolutely preposterous how a left back can consistently be a team's most creative outlet.
  16. Especially when it's called 'oatcake' too. Daft cunts. I'd go as far as "zany". Does zany also cover making your eyes bleed when looking at the layout of it? It can do. Maybe the forum should empty a bottle of milk over itself, to complete the look.

  18. Feel like this when I play my wildcard. Have all these ideas of how to improve my team, then when I look at my new team I think, what the fuck was the point? And of course old players will suddenly fine form.
  19. In fairness, Stoke is still coming to terms with the Internet being invented so cut them some slack.

This. You're 2 points behind Fulham who apparently are playing well. That doesn't mean you can't be justifiably angry at performances/tactics, but surely maintain some context at this stage of the season. It's not February. It's not even December.

    Alan Pardew

Can I translate that as him actually meaning he's had his ego knocked?

I'm still 95% sure you're going to finish in the top half, for what it's worth. I know you're going through a poor run and can see why people are concerned about what might happen but IMO it's a poor run which will be improved, albeit to an extent which will still fall below general season expectations. Loads of teams are separated by very few points at this still early stage of the season. If things haven't improved by the end of January I can see why people would become more worried about the lower reaches of the league. But it still seems a very, very unlikely prospect, for me anyway.
