  1. Stop being modest - i know you're secretly predicting a heavy home win. And you'll love it! I can't see anything other than a close game. Fully expect you to play better than previous games and we quite often don't do well when we're "expected" to win which, according to the bookies, most media predictions and a fair proportion of this board, we apparently are.
  2. Love how some specifically selected comments on a forum has got everyone riled up. Sticking with the score draw prediction. Or 6-0, one of the two.

  4. How's Albrighton doing? Couple of years ago he seemed to make a class impact but has seemed to go off the radar a tad recently. Injury?
  5. I can't rule out the possibility of Naismith playing instead of him, and/or a Neville-Heitinga combination in midfield. Frightening.
  6. Don't let a selection of bold comments selected for exaggerated impact get to you though, ey?
  7. We have a mild fetish for backing off loads and inviting people to shoot, so I'd be telling the likes of Cabaye and Ben Arfa (I know, I know) to have a few pops tonight. There was one in our last game where Mulumbu lightly jogged from the halfway line to the edge of our box without anyone challenging him, it was ridiculous.
  8. I can see why some would describe it as a 6 pointer, but this is just ridiculous.

  10. Plus only 2 goals conceded in our last 9 home games in the league. One of which was that fine Tony Hibbert finish on the last day of last season.
  11. "Let us simultaneously commence the process of audible communication!"
  12. Agree. Spurs are obviously superior to Reading but I'd question their mentality if Reading, fluke or no fluke, get an equaliser. Only 1-0 and all that. Plus, it'd be funny.
  13. Tend to agree with Disco. Can't say I know that much about them or know any fans, but I'm not sure what Reading have ever offered in the Premier League other than some boring defeats.
  14. This is what I mean, I'm unsure why the negativity is so widespread on here. I can't see anything other than a close game. I'd say we're favourites due to home advantage and a couple of key injuries for you. If Neville is playing in centre midfield then you've got every chance. Phil Neville.
  15. Ade has yet to start a game since he signed. AVB just being a bellend basically. Sign player on massive wages. http://img.skysports.com/12/07/800x600/avb4_2789513.jpg Don't play him.
  16. Small stake 4-fold: Roma Napoli Sampdoria DNB Fiorentina-Catania draw Will probably have a bigger stake/smaller odds bet later. Edit: I do this regularly. Not putting much on stake-wise, so think yes, that means I'll stick a draw in. That aside, going well.
  17. Not overly happy with my team. Think I've spent time trying to get a balanced team when really you do well in this game by having 4 or 5 points whores and just having the rest as cheap players. Friedel (Federici) Ferdinand, Jenkinson, Ivanovic (Santon, Harte) Arteta, Toure, Lampard, Fellaini (Hoilett) Pog, Tevez, Adebayor
  18. Going for a 2-2 fwiw. Not sure if you're all (well, most) consciously lowering expectations to avoid disappointment, but there doesn't seem to be much expectation on you getting anything. That's a bit of a bizarre assertion to make IMO, you're casting yourselves as a bottom half team with some of the predictions I've seen in here. Injuries or not, you'll have a lot of good players out there to get you a draw or a win. I'm not confident we'll cope well with the apparent expectation for us to just go and pick up a win against the 5th best team last season. Yes, if I had to pick, we're favourites due to home advantage and also Krul & Coloccini being out, but I dunno. There doesn't seem to be much pressure on you and I think you'll improve from the Aston Villa game.
  19. Yes. It was taken out of context but he said we were not the level of Everton and Villa but now the level of the big boys in the league or something to that extent. Pardew's right though, as we never considered you our rivals.
  20. You and Sunderland in your home games against Liverpool were the best bits of value for all of last season. You were something like 9/5 I seem to recall, Sunderland were 10/3 in some places - obscene. 12/5 is still pretty good value as far as I'm concerned, would strongly consider the DNB though.
  21. Think it's perfectly plausible that Arsenal will fuck up tbh. Obviously they should win but I think there's an equal chance of them winning 6-0 and drawing 1-1.
