It has come to my attention Mike Williamson has played a large quantity of football in recent weeks.

Because he played Sunday and Thursday before. And then the Monday before that. Ah right. Was wondering why he was so blunt about it.

Having a look at the BBC feed on the games tonight and there's a Pardew quote where he says "I'm not sure I should have played Williamson" Bit of an odd thing to say.

I must be missing something. The Man Utd team is hardly that good. Rooney is playing his first game in a while, Hernandez has been poor thus far this year, and they've a massive lack of experience across the whole backline. Fletcher, Cleverley and Anderson are also hardly names to be scared of. 5-0.

The first 2 stats sound impressive in a way. However it's not that they've just happened to be poor in different games but had the resolve to get something - the issue is O'Neill actively encourages that brand of football and there's only so many times they can nick points. They'll have to start playing a lot better if they want to do anything this year.
