  1. Think Tiote is worth nowhere near £25m, but that's a personal subjective view of him, and not considering this is a world where Jordan Henderson costs that. The issue with selling Tiote would not be imo the exact sum you get for him. It's what selling him in the first place says to the other players.
  2. Yes, mate. They get it from us. A pretty interesting loophole that if a team wins the CL and finishes outside the CL spots of their league, any teams in that league beginning with N and end with D are banished from Europe. Bad luck on us, but thems the rules. lololol u all LOOSE
  3. What a prick. When people experience strong emotions they often say daft things. Doesn't make them a prick. They do. And Torres is a prick.
  4. Just won the FA Trophy as well haven't they?
  5. Piss-take failure. Sounds about fair really. Is he definitely starting?
  6. Yeah. You stick £10 on, you get £23 plus your stake back.
  7. Should've had a much better career than he has ended up having. You can't deny the top-class talent was there at Liverpool. He was a predatory, clinical striker, the world was at his feet. In many ways though, the move to Real Madrid was the beginning of the end, even though it was at a young age. He was no longer "the next big thing", he was in a team full of bigger stars, bigger egos. He didn't too badly in fairness. But, imo, he got a bit of a wake-up call there - people perhaps weren't as excited to see him; team-mates weren't relying on him as such to do the business. Then, of course, he moved to yous. I don't know the exact details of the deal, but I reckon he was pissed off someone "bigger" and "better" at the time wasn't in for him. Did he get seduced by the money? Possibly. He's held a grudge ever since - it was this move that, further down the line, signalled that Michael Owen was no longer the next big thing; he wasn't even a big thing anymore. I bet being part of a relegation side was a massive blow to his previously ever-increasing ego. England faded. Man Utd came calling, offering him a lifeline I bet he never thought would come. But injuries persisted and a frankly rapid decline followed. But still, he kept coming out with his soundbites of how he was still cut out for top-class football, how he was still 'the man'. Shame, really. Could and should've been so much more but instead, his career is fast closing and what is left is an utterly deluded, crippled man, devoid of meaningful footballing talent.
  8. Sorry mate, rules are rules.
  9. Don't understand why West Ham are such convincing favourites with the bookies. Sure, I'd put them as favourites but odds on? Poor value IMO. Blackpool @ 3/1 seems much the better value.

Can't hold a candle up to Craig Charles at left back, I guess.

They also apparently wouldn't want Yobo. Can't say I've seen much of him since he left us (well, not technically, you know what I mean), but I bet he's still better than anything they have in defence. They seem to have this idea they're some sort of comfortable top 10 side who've just finished a few points outside the European places.

Finished 2 points above Sunderland. Backwards step for Holt and Whitbread.
  13. Don't tell me that exacta won. Was quickly going to copy you, but thought it was the 2.40 instead of 2.30
  14. My favourite is when the excuse is used for an FA Cup run. Must play weakened side due to the INFINITE INJURIES you'll get from playing potentially 4 or 5 extra games over 4 months. Jonny Hall knows what I'm on about.
  15. Unlucky lads, I have money on B. F. Assassin as well.
  16. Play a damn good side. Not necessarily your strongest every game (depending on injuries and the such) but you're taking the piss if you work all season to get where you did, then play a piss poor team once you get there. It's Europe. Revel in it, make the most of it.
