Oh. Really? Unless we get some positive news over the next two weeks eg: Signings etc.. I could see us getting whipped by Arsenal and morale plummeting to further depths, we have all seen how things snowball from there. Supporters and players need a huge boost to stop any slump coming before we even start. For your sake, I hope your players aren't in as much of a slump as ours were 2 years ago when we played Arsenal at home on the opening day.

That's the only real criticism I can make of this forum. Get the feeling quite a few people are too bothered about trying to appear correct and win an argument which is at the cost of actually debating like an adult, or even someone above the age of 14.

The majority of Premiership clubs have bought players in, I would say that we are somewhere in the middle of the clubs who have and haven't. Also, we'll only know if we've done well when players start producing on the pitch. As if The new LB will be better than Jose. As if Ben Arfa will play more then 25 games. As if Ba will score more goals than Ameobi and Lovenkrands together. As if Gutierrez will be better than Barton on the wing. As if Nolan's goals won't be missed. This side is not better. You don't think Ba will score 13 league goals this season?
