  1. Absolutely ridiculous domination of that league. 31 points clear of 3rd ffs.
  2. Brilliant result for Atleti if they hold out - Osasuna have been resurgent and Aguero's missing tonight.

    Sunderland...

Exactly. They'd survive easily if it wasn't for those damned African players and their lack of effort They obviously don't appreciate black power.

    Sunderland...

Aye, but it would be fun to watch them be dragged into a relegation dog-fight. Absolutely Maybe it'll finally stop their delusion, although maybe I'm being naive. They are a top 8 team after all... fuck off man. Top four at least. The infamous assessment of "we shouldn't be bothered about what's below us, let's catch Chelsea."

    Sunderland...

They've had a very difficult run recently and relegation is still extremely unlikely for them. Lose next week though and I think alarm bells really will be ringing.
  6. A new definition of 6 pointers. Every game is one!
  7. saving that quote Yes? If you average 5.7 points per game then you've done very well.

is he a right winger ? A loosely related anecdote. Talking to a Mackem a few years ago around the time of Mutu and his drugs shenanigans. He says, "Where's Adrian Mutu at nowadays?" "Rehab, I think." "What league are they in?"

The OP in the "Clueless Posters" thread tries to make a sensible, rational post - and gets abuse for it.
  11. They'll bastarding win this week, won't they? Knobs.
  12. Was watching this game with a Mackem. "Tell you what, if someone like Vieira comes on and knocks home another, I'm leaving." He didn't leave. Forced him to watch the rest.
  13. Such a refreshing rarity to see them playing fluently, instead of being obsessed with trying to sneak a single goal win. Admittedly it was Sunderland, but still.

Sunderland 4 P Bardsley Knee Injury 3rd Apr 11 doubtful C Gordon Knee Injury no return date very doubtful D Meyler Knee Injury no return date very doubtful M Turner Knee Injury no return date very doubtful And yet Bardsley and Turner played today and Gordon was on the bench. DECIMATED!

That's not giving a reason for their performance - that's literally making up an excuse. They've not been hampered by injuries at all, certainly not to key players.
  16. I'm sure it's already been said but, it's funny what playing more offensively does, ey Roberto?
  17. Not enough triple substitutions nowadays.
  18. "Udinese not playing anywhere near as well as they have done in recent weeks." Sigh.
  19. Stay away. I've Udinese, admittedly DNB. But Lecce are shit. Lost their last 3.
  20. And people wonder why Serie A has a poor reputation. That Samp game is being investigated by the authorities according to AC Jimbo on the Guardian podcast. Matchfixing allegations before the games even been on man That's what amuses me. The pre-match odds are mental, it's not like they suddenly discovered something after the game.
  21. Allardyce certainly would have kept them up like. Said Wigan, West Brom and Blackpool at the start IIRC. I think West Brom look likely to escape as Hodgson has them playing with more confidence and solidity. Wolves I think will get dragged down, despite producing quite a few solid recent performances. Blackpool are sliding very dangerously and although they will continue to entertain, I don't think they'll get enough points. But even Wigan, who I think are 95% likely to go down, are still right in with a shout of staying up. As I say, the battle to stay up is far more interesting than the shite 'race' for the title or indeed top 4. QPR, Norwich and Leeds to come up.
