  1. The more I watch the penalty incident from our game, the more it becomes apparent Anelka was cheating. He didn't even just run into Howard, the way he jumped into him was pathetic. Made no attempt to go round him to get the ball. I guess it sums up the ugly side of the modern game where players are more interested in winning a penalty and hopefully getting the opposition player sent off.
  2. Well I said at the start of the season (barring a major injury) he'd hit double figures and I'm firmly sticking to that.
  3. What a stupid statement. I can't really speak for Chelsea supporters but success is relative. Booing might have been a bit excessive but they're obviously not happy with this recent form (with a full strength team today bar Lampard, it should be said) and they have every right to show that discontent.
  4. Well, that was a bit of an improvement on last week. Chelsea should be relieved to have escaped with a point there, it was completely and utterly all us by the end. Very disappointed not to have won so really that game just summed up our season, however to react like that after the WBA debacle is very encouraging. Also, give Beckford a chance from the start next week. Dunno what's up with Chelsea. Terry and Essien were back today; they're running out of excuses.
  5. It's just the staple weekend bet. Levante: predictably not great but Atletico are not the type of team to rely on really.
  6. It's got me wanting more of that life, man. The alcohol, the reckless urination, it has it all.
  7. Riise just slipped in there.
  8. True but there are more right-footed people, period, so it's not surprising. From Tony Hibbert to Dani Alves, there is a RB for your club.
  9. Didn't know where to put this, but BBC have the rights to a leg each of the CC SFs. 1st leg of West Ham vs. Birmingham and 2nd leg of Arsenal vs. Ipswich.
  10. I think this whole continental cycle came in after Germany was awarded 2006.
  11. I think we're as good as your lot tbh. I disagree, but it's not an outrageous suggestion as it would have been before the season. I think we'll still come good but we're f***ing ourselves over right at the moment. Football's all about opinions, and I respect yours. .No matter how wrong it is Everton are better than us, like. They're just going through a ridiculously s*** patch. Worrying thing about Everton is the lack of goals in their team. So much reliance on Cahill to produce the goals, as their strikers are pretty awful. Yep. That's all I'm saying as I don't want to derail the thread or depress myself.

  13. You won't thank me for saying this but I think you're in a very similar position to Sunderland. Neither will have serious relegation troubles, and top 10 isn't unrealistic. I think I said 15th at the start of the season... I'm going to stick with that for the time being, but I can easily see you finishing a few places higher than that. Either way it would represent a successful season.
  14. I think Uruguay are bidding for it, possibly joint with the Argies? I'm sure they'll get along well.
