Rooney has been no worse than Heskey. It's the fact so much more is expected from Rooney, and his performances have been disappointing relatively.

Criticising a player doesn't equal him being a scapegoat. It's a thread that, on the whole, is discussing how on earth this clown is in our starting line-up.
  3. That's definitely the plan like, not player mind you, but I think he'll get it after Capello if he stays on til the Euros. Our attempt at a van Basten or Klinsmann appointment.  Beckham England manager???!!! My goodness. Yeah, wait. What the fuck is wrong with me. Beckham 2012! He...looks good in a suit! Not trying to apply logic here! Just reckon that's what'll end out happening. That would be crazy if it happened. Would be. Not really going to bang on about it, just remember reading about the possibilities of it a few months back. In the article it also mentioned Linekar, which wouldn't bother me, and Shearer. Wouldn't mind giving Shearer a stab at it like. That said, I'm still a firm fan of Capello. Would be gutted if all his blatant good work got undone in the matter of two frigging weeks. Aye. I reckon he will be massively hurt if we didn't qualify, seeing as it would be such a massive blot on an excellent career.

Yep. So what better than to play someone who has the supposed job of helping Rooney, who is being marked out of games? Much better than putting on someone who can, you know, score goals...
  5. I might be able to do the 17th if it's a morning kick off, like.
  6. Yet again, this ignores the fact that no one wanted the ball, control it when they received it or use it to any great effect. It's just confusing really. These aren't the finer details we're talking about, it is the fundamental ability to pass, control, and move. It's honestly frightening.
  7. --------Rooney---------- J.Cole-Lampard-Gerrard ----Barry---Carrick------ A.Cole-Terry-Upson-Glen Either that or we throw in Milner as a Maradona/Jonas style wing back for laughs.
  8. The identity of the next manager isn't the important factor though, and I fear it won't matter who it is: we need to catch up and change our culture of how football is taught and developed. Regarding the game, I don't want to go into too much detail because I guess everything has already been said. Just an embarrassment.

Oh no... here we go. He's useless, protected by this stupid myth of him playing well with Rooney.
  10. To the pub! Howay England!
  11. Going to whack a couple of quid on a couple ofscorecasts for the hell of it: any suggestions? I fancy Terry to score tonight for some reason.
  12. You'll never admit it was a cross gone wrong, will you?
  13. Just as 2 off the top of my head, not see the Cahill red card or the Germany-Serbia game? Germany-Serbia game was today... Bugger off.

  15. On the evidence of the first half, it suggests how much of the performance on Saturday was the fact you were playing England, IMO.
  16. Howard doesn't enjoy one on ones. I remember when Wolves took the lead at GP, Howard jumped expecting the chip, and Doyle just rolled it under him.
  17. Serbia were the only real upset tbh.
  18. "AMERICAAAAAAAAAA, fuck ye... fuck. Shit! Shiiiiiiit."
  19. And now comes the patronising. Slovenia.. Slovenia! close to qualifying! Tiny little Slovenia! Ignoring they beat Russia to get here, and also the fact they had the 2 easier games first.
  20. What an awful score to zero, the endzone penetrated by the offence.
