  1. Anyone know what was wrong with Joe Cole, i.e. why he didn't play?
  2. I'm being harsh on Heskey - he couldn't have found Howard any more accurately.
  3. Another thought: I'm yet to understand why we took SWP ahead of Johnson.
  4. Heskey was alright, but when it came to doing what a striker's primarily supposed to do, he predictably failed completely.
  5. Similar to what Keith said - it's not time to panic since we were the better side in the 2nd half by a long shot and the only ones really making an effort to win it, but it's frightening we can't keep the ball against sides like the US. First half it was painful to watch the centre midfield; I never thought I'd say it, but we need Barry back, fast.
  6. Come on then. What did you make of it... part'na? Part'na? No. Just, what did you make of it?
  7. I wouldn't expect to get anything since it was a scorecast. Worth a try though.
  8. If we ever wanted a performance that summed up why we'll inevitably get past dross and get beat by quality... At least the 2nd half we actually showed a bit of drive and energy, first half was like Japan.
  9. Fuck you, Kaiz. Ruined my moment. Ruined.
  10. Probably old but still: England-USA, 19.30. Bet the Yanks won't turn up until 19.41.
  11. Not sure what match Pearce was watching when he continually referred to the Argies dominating and Nigeria not being in it. The former were obviously the better team and Enyeama impressed, but aside from the first 15 minutes, it wasn't far off even. Nigeria had numerous chances but completely wasted them.
  12. Good to hear Jonathan "Splendid!" Pearce in action.
  13. Didn't think it was anywhere near excellent, a decent watch though.
  14. This is the exact attitude I want England to have tomorrow. I think that would work out really well for us. That's a fan's attitude. Capello will drill professionalism into the players and they won't take you lightly for a second - it would be idiotic to do so. From the fans' point of view though we absolutely expect to get 3 points, even though as I say, it's unlikely to be easy at all - part you making it hard, and part us probably not playing that well.
  15. As Burnip said, a gritty 2-1/3-1 win is the most likely outcome. Won't be easy at all but we should have enough. I appreciate the apparent importance the other side of the pond but to us, it's just another nation who'll make it hard but we should have enough to win without playing our best - particularly taking advantage of a poor defence. I'd like us to play better, but oh well.
  16. Bjorge Lillelien, the arse.
  17. Has it already been suggested that Mike should be IP banned if the US dare win?
  18. I'm so American I didn't even see what you did there. Upper 90 shots all over the place! Fuck's sake, I can't wait till we absolutely destroy you tomorrow - a 2-1 thrashing is on the cards.
  19. Damn, it's really less than 24 hours away. Guaranteed to be a s*** 0-0 draw. We all know that, right? No. That bomb that you guys keep singing about is gonna burst big time. I believe in Tim Howard. I see the refs have learned English swearwords to counter Rooney's petulance.....where does this leave Tim Howard? That was quite good actually. Haven't seen much of his antics in the PL tbh.
  20. Anyway Mike, Ameritoon, George Dubya and co, can you not see Heskey's look? <<<<<<< that is a look of "I'm'a fuck you up America!" Definitely.
  21. Nonsense. Lethal impact player.
  22. We're getting the dirty work out the way now so that come early August, we can enjoy our annual Moutinho rumours fetish.
  23. Yeah, heard about this. Good move - an actual winger. I'm a bit disturbed about how swift we seem to be moving in the transfer market. I'm used to drifting into August with empty rumours being our main source of excitement.
