Decent enough opening game. Felt a draw was a fair enough result - Mexico as per usual not offering much end product. As has probably been said already, great first goal, the play before that and the finish itself. Ultimately though, it's a bad result for SA as I reckon that was their best chance of a win; not out of contention though. Also, I wasn't particularly fussed about the vuvuzelas, got used to them pretty soon. Doesn't hamper the watching of the game. Howay Uruguay for later!

Beil's Brilliant Betting Bonanza Badonde Not including all, but put on before any matches: ...OK, there are rather a lot. Main ones: To qualify (Y/N) Chile Y Algeria, Aussies, Japan, Greece N £15 returns £78. Bottom of their group Algeria Aussies Japan NZ Honduras £5 returns £71. 7 or 9 points Argies Brazil Holland Spain £10 returns £83. Same teams to get exactly 9 points: £1 returns £147. Team top scorer RVP Villa Rooney Sestak £2 returns £81. There are more which I can't be arsed to post now.

Ghana ahead of Germany and Serbia?

Fuck these bullshit rules, I will emerge victorious through ignorance.

Well I'll be doing my general WC bets tonight, going to put a couple of audacious ones in for shits and giggles. Klose, Rooney, RVP and Sestak to be the top scorers for their nation is 77/1.

Not free on the 17th. 10th is fine though.

I've only been doing online betting for about a month but Skybet and bet365 are both good. Went with SB initially because it's easy to navigate your way round and extremely user-friendly for a online betting amateur like I was, but bet365 generally offers better value.

Definitely worth £10-£20 on a few group winners, I reckon, MKSC.
-
If you're confident in them then it's good value: something like 16/1. Not a bet for me.
-
Alonso, Xavi, Iniesta (if fit) and Silva.
-
Acceptable result for them.
-
6 different scorers as well.

Fernando got his mop cut!

Best way of describing that opening half an hour is ominous.

Damn you. Was wanking about them in the other thread. What a lovely goal like.

Spain. :fwap: :fwap: :fwap: :fwap:
-
Pretty shit team name.
-
Don't think Bet365 allows this as a multiple. Damn. It does, it's just you can't have more than one selection from each group. Edit: that above bet is much more than 8/1 - it's 13.65/1. Edit v2.0: Ooh, Spain v Poland in a bit, time for a scorecast.
-
Leaving it to the last possible moment to put pre-tournament bets on but another one I'm likely to do: Group winners: Argentina, England, Holland, Brazil, Spain: £20 pays £106 and add Germany into it and it's just shy of £200.

I'd completely forgotten about it. Your link earlier was a masterstoke, got my ZM love back.

http://www.zonalmarking.net/2010/06/08/marcelo-bielsa-chile-world-cup-2010-tactics/ A nice little overview of what you can expect from Chile - a side generating a fair bit of interest. I'm definitely looking forward to see them. The goal in the article against Peru is insane - 7 players within 20 yards of goal.
