  1. as bad as me, seems if i post my bets on here i lose!! i do more longshots these days but still my betting bank took a hit this week!! tonights singles chelsea v pomp under 2.5 goals liverpool v Wig under 2.5 goals spurs v city over 2.5 Tevez anytime also. "And what's this... yes! As Spurs and Man City draw blanks, Portsmouth are going goal crazy!"
  2. Floodgates stuff. If McCarthy gets reprimanded, I expect every single team sheet in every match to be scrutinised. It's a pathetic rule. Managers can play whatever fucking side they want.
  3. McCarthy should be able to play whatever bloody side he wants.
  4. Their capers shall end on Sunday.
  5. It's so fucking difficult when the supposed good teams are shit I'm financially pretty tied in recent weeks so just having £1/£2 audacious-ish ones atm... might have to just take the plunge and permanently switch to the bigger stakes/less teams combo.
  6. I'm so envious of your money, Tom. If I don't win at the weekend I'll cry. Awful streak atm.
  7. Have a feeling Sun'lun will win tonight.
  8. Village Idiot is our Spanish Correspondent, but I'll just say he's done f*** all Jermaine Pennant watch: Games played: 11 Goals: 0 Assists: 0 Wow. He's worse than Leon Osman.
  9. The draws seem more likely if you're asking me. Can't see Sheff Wed winning, and Bristol have fucked me over the past couple of times at home. Tbh though, I'll post my midweek bets tomorrow and I'd recommend everyone to stick an accumulator on all the teams I've gone against.
  10. And this is my point. Of course at the moment he shouldn't be going, but say he was scoring regularly in the next 20-25 games. Surely he must be at the very least a serious consideration? Surely this goes for most players? It does. I'm just get the feeling that with what's gone on with Owen at Newcastle, people would refuse to see him there regardless.

  12. Out of interest, given their respective seasons, why should Walcott be ahead of Owen? Wright Phillips and Lennon have impressed on the wings. Milner and Young would also be ahead of Walcott imo, at this current stage. Lennon would start on the right for me but doesn't get nearly enough goals. Walcott is capable of that and I'd be much happier having him on the bench (pace, good dribbling ability, eye for goal) than Owen who will make the runs but will mess up the dynamics of the team and offer next to nothing in the build up. SWP wouldn't get in the squad if I was picking it either fwiw. Walcott gets plenty of goals? Really? I know Lennon doesn't but he's just as "capable". I'm prepared to give him a chance but he has a lot to prove in the coming months. If Owen is the one scoring the goals (and it's a big if, because at the moment I wouldn't) then I'd without doubt take him. Wouldn't start him like. I also realise your point in that Walcott can play more than one position, but not effectively as far as I can see. We already have the likes of Lennon, SWP, Young to choose from in terms of direct pace, and Defoe in that respect up front.
  13. Against shite sides, perhaps.

  15. If he's scoring goals and on form for the 2nd half of the season then it'd be stupid to leave him out.
  16. "Taye you bloody arse, what you doing getting forward? Get that ball and 'oof it, bloody hell."
  17. Horrible? Pulis is a very good manager imo.
  18. I should have listened to Charlie Nicholas at my local Coral.
  19. Wonder if midweek will be better, Europa and Prem games.
  20. They can't afford to sack him. Aye. It's a frankly brilliant situation.
  21. With regards to what he'll actually do, he'll probably sleep numerous times, scratch his arse, consume lashings of warm overpriced lager and enjoy more frivolous wagers with Derek.
