What a load of bollocks regarding goal line technology, please explain how it would affect discussion and debate? People still talk about players, selections, appointments, previous matches, match predictions, goals, and even the influence of technology. There is nothing wrong with trying to improve the game, it could be at least tried. Would you really sacrafice your team losing points to have a discussion about a decision in the pub? No. It works in other sports very effectively and before we get the, it would create too many stoppages in play bollocks, it would make little difference when you consider when a decision is made are contested for a good couple of minutes.

What a load of over hyped nonsense. I have sympathy for Henry. Sticking your arm out the way he did is a natural reaction to most, it's up to the officials to spot it. So when I read Oliver Holt claiming Henry's reputation is in tatters I just shake my head in disbelief. It's not like he's the first player to con the ref in a high profile game. Off the top of my head Muller, Maradona and (not in the same bracket) now Ronaldo are all guilty of it yet I don't see anyone doubting their reputation, why? Because they're damn good players, it's undeniable. A moment of petulance isn't going erase so many memories of brilliance. It could be claimed Ireland were cheated out of the world cup but certainly not by Henry. Taking a look at the game itself for a minute they plenty of chances to put the game to bed and I agree with Keane when he says the defending for the incident was shocking, they were asking for trouble. People (mainly the press) seem to have lost perspective, Ireland weren’t in a winning position, what they had was a 50-50 crack at the world cup in a penalty shootout, there was no guarantee they were going to come out on top. The biggest thing to come out of this for me is FIFA's absolute denial of common sense by refusing to even give technology a go. By the time Given ran over to the ref, had a moan and a sulk, a bloke stood on the touchline could of had a quick look at a TV monitor and could of communicated the incident in a matter of seconds. The whole “oh it would slow the game down” is an absolute crock when you consider how many stoppages we have due to players going down right, left and center. Also how is it a ref involved in two particularly high profile incidents, including awarding a penalty for a challenge that didn’t occur and failing to allow a goal when the ball blatantly crossed the line, allowed to officiate at this level so soon. And although it was neither the linesman nor the ref who covered themselves in glory for the incident it still has to be asked why this particular referee was selected for such a high stakes game in the first place? On a wider scale it’s also an absolute travesty how FIFA seeded the play-offs in the eleventh hour to ensure Slovenia, Bosnia, Ukraine and Ireland would have the most difficult task possible. They always were a bunch of dodgy bastards and their brown nosing of the larger nations particularly on this occasion was a disgrace. Ireland was unfortunate but for me the issue isn’t with Henry or even the officials. It’s with a governing body that is stuck in the stone age, denying the common sense move of giving technology a chance and placing as many obstacles as possible in front of the smaller nations in order to prevent them qualifying, Can’t say I expected anything different, bastards.

I don't think the absences of Xavi, Iniesta or Messi will be doing them any favours. Yeah, I dont mean just this game though, they don't seem as scary without Eto'o. Aye I know what you mean. I don't think that trio have all been fit and match sharp at the same time have they? All three massive for their success. Like you say though swapping Ibra for Eto'o makes them a different proposition. Both class players but Eto'o just seems to have more of a knack of creating something out of nothing, most of the team through shear persistence.

Nope not at all, but the expression "fat cockney rapist" while funny, is childish to say the least. Get down off your high horse, man. It's not entirely PC and I feel a little uneasy having held it without knowing what it said but that's football. No one died. Wasn't the point of the protest set to make Ashley feel uncomfortable for the embarassment he's brought to our club? Surely by bringing such a childish banner they only subjected us to more potential embarassment from fellow supporters and the media. I'm glad the protest went well but the wording of the banner seemed a bit uneccessary. I'm past the point of caring what other fans or the media think of us really. I couldn't give a toss what other fans think either if I'm honest. It just seemed to partially defeat the object of the protest, ah well.

They've been playing alright without picking up results. Fancied them to finally nick one today, was a hunch more than anything. You could get some decent odds on Wolfsburg too but not at any of the high street bookies.
-
Don't you have something better to do? You really think I'd be sat here if I did? Pah fancied Deportivo earlier, shame there was no one to put them in a double with.

Expert use of the straw man there.

0-2 Craddock own goal. Didn't see it because my stream cut out, I give up. Sounds like Wolves are on a self destruct mission though.
-
Are you actually complaining about winning a bet?
-
0-1. They scored when I went for a piss, tossers. Edit: Zubar own goal. Nothing to get excited about.

Wolves playing a dangerously high line, could end in tears.

Cracking start from Wolves.

Harsh. Credit where credit is due today, but it certianly justify his poor form in recent weeks.

What twenty minutes of good play negates several poor games on the trott?
