Relegation is rarely good for a club. As well as playing a league with less quality, you lose out financially, your better players move on and your reputation as an established Premier League club disappears. Most stay there too unless they have a significant amount of cash or simply get lucky as we did. Positives have come from the relegation. We've developed an excellent team spirit getting rid of many of the wasters on high wages in the process but you can't seriously tell me you need the unnecessary torture that is relegation to achieve both of those objectives? Looks at sides like Everton who, in my opinion, have an excellent team spirit and a low wage bill. Did they need relegation or just a bit of common sense in the board room? Which to brings us to how we were relegated. Numerous errors by the board, multiple managers, an under-performing team devoid of any confidence, fan protests, the list goes on. Was it worth it? It could of been so easily avoided with a bit an ounce of sense from the leaders of the club but instead we had to endure possibly the most painful seasons in living memory, not to mention the subsequent year playing our trade in the Championship. So aye positives came out of our relegation but it shouldn't off been required for them to come about. The biggest thing that will hopefully come from our relegation is learning from our mistakes because next time we might not be so lucky with an instant return. This season is far too young to be handing our premature pats on the back.

I'm sure it's not that bad that we need to buy a new 'keeper! End of the season then.
-
Aye was in the region of £10 million I think. Seems a bit of a pointless signing to me. They someone Bent can play off, he's been poor this season because he's been playing with his back to goal. They need someone to do that for him.

With a bit of luck he settles quickly to keep Mongaloid27 and the rest of the sunshine bus off his back.

Transfer Window slams shut; makes huge f*ck off slamming sound

Didn't really sit on her face though did he? -
Aye its well and good Krul being the better shot stopper but when he gets a rush of blood from the resulting corner and gives away a goal we're f***ed. Krul should of been loaned out ages ago. We'll probably need a new keeper in January for me.

What were your first thoughts like? Wow we've signed Ben Arfa, wonder if he's going to redirect the old blood flow with that cheeky smile?

No doubt he'll get a few bacon sandwiches the podgy necked c***. 'Nothing here yet but the lights are on and I sense something will be happening.' -

Wonder how many times we'll see Sky's completely unnecessary moving sticker book? I'll plump for around fifty. -

Hope we keep Craig stood outisde all day only to do fuck all. -
No it wasn't Williamson should of been tighter. Or would that not fit into your agenda?

The lad's had three games. The first he had a shitter first half but grew into the game as it went on. He then had a stormer against Villa and a game against Wolves where he didn't do a lot right but he didn't do a wrong either (I can't remember anything particularly bad bar the penalty incident), he was average. So based on those three performances each differing in quality you can conclude he is a dreadful player? Don't get me wrong he's never going to be a world beater, he has limited ability but I think given the chance he could become a solid right back. For me Simpson and Perch will need replacing if and when we grow as a Premier League outfit but at the minute we have mpre pressing concerns. For a million quid its not like he doesnt have sell on vlaue either if he doesnt prgress how we hope. Basically, its far too early to be calling him a dreadful player, you might be right given time but give the lad a chance.
-
Aye, but by which time he could of helped establish us in the league and we could be in a better place to go and buy a replacement.
-
Also note they've scored three goals this season. Two penalties and an own goal.
-
They got battered first half, they weren't that good.
-
Some in this thread clearly weren't watching the first half. Was it a penalty?
-
Don't think City have been as bad as people make it out. Should be 1-0 up too.
-
Perhaps its because they've left their most creative player on the bench and gone with a midfield of defensive minded players.
-
It's an absolute joke Silva can't get a game for City's legion of defensive midfilders. Looks like a City goal is coming though, Toure is an absolute beast.
-
Same time as the transfer window for Premiership clubs. Ah right, thought we may have a bit of extra time on that front.

When does the loan market close?

Pundits are generally shit these days, this is epitomised by Merson. He's on TV purely so people can laugh at him which is all well and good but when you’re being paid millions of pounds to offer no insight what so ever it’s embarrassing. You've got Kamara who is a bit of clown but at least you can say he knows his stuff, he earns his money and therefore you don't mind laughing along with him. Then you've got Merson who threw his career away and somehow finds himself sitting on the best panel show around. The man can't even string a fucking sentence together let along offer an insightful opinion. He isn't funny, he's just a fucking idiot, it's absolutely insulting people have to go to their jobs every day and this buffoon sits there earning millions and he can't even pronounce 'Coloccini'. Rant over.
-
If he keeps us up how would people feel about extending his contract?
-
Aye, they haven't added to their collection of attacking midfielders for a while.
