  1. going to have to explain that fan comment please. Shearer wouldnt go and play for Sunderland and openly express how much he hates it. And Clarky has been managing for years: He was coaching the likes of Walker central boys when he was still playing for us, he was then reserve team coach for us, before being Roeders assistant at Noriwch and now manager of Huddersfield doing very well. You may scorn at the Walker boys and reserve team roles but invaluable man management and tactical experience. Not saying he should be manager now, but can't see how Shearer would in any way be a better choice.
  2. Would have Lee Clark over Shearer. He's more of a fan than Shearer is on top of being an established manager and tactician
  3. Big Ben has spoken. Good thing they got that clock tower in for the Jan transfer window like otherwise we'd be hard pushed to tell when it closes
  4. I'm glad this Transfer window has been more reserved rather than a big American style soap opera with millions flying around for no reason. Loads of loans, players seemingly being recycled and moving to clubs who wouldnt have bought them 2 years ago. Its a shocking idea this window.
  5. Definitely, as this was the only I could have watched. Don't get Sky Sports News so I used to watch Setanta Sports News. Now I have to watch Sky News only. Is that because you have Sky TV but without the sports package? My mate has that and you don't get SSN but you do with Freeview/Virgin etc. I don't get it, its a free channel everywhere else but if you have Sky you have to pay for it? Money grabbing...............
  6. As long as people continue to buy: The Sun, The Mirror, The Star, The Express, The Mail, The People, News of the World etc: we are going to have to put up with this kind of sad housewife tales rubbish. I want to watch Sky Sports news not f**king Loose Women. I agree, the papers shouldn't be able to publish this tripe, its not in the public interest, it benefits no one and it shows a distinct lack of moral fortitude or respect for people and their own lives. And Max Clifford wants raped by a Orangutang! Stupid cock that he is
  7. To Real Madrid, Barca or Inter? More like Sporting Heehaw. Smith, Guthrie, Nolan, Butt, Barton.... Itd be silly signing another CM! It'll be a massive waste of wages! I would have been happy taking one after selling Smith or Nolan move for £5 to some stupid PL club such as Bolton or Everton like
  8. If he hadn't of gotten that pointless red card against Liverpool we probably wouldn't have been relegated last season with him in the middle. Aye we wouldn't have lost against Villa final day with him in the middle.
  9. Disappointed he's chosing someone like Wigan. I think the Premier league will be a bit to much of a jump up for him at present, especially mid season,he'll struggle to get going until next season. And players dont really develop at Wigan, I know Palacios and Valencia were good but they were good when they arrived, N'Zogbia's not really moved on. Thought we'd be a perfect choice for him....finish the season in the Championship, playing well for us, scoring goals, having a real hand in our promotion and then he'd be a PL player next year. He's 19....younger players need patience with their careers or they can screw them royally....look at Routledge
  10. Just had a sudden brainwave whilst slightly stoned so its probably been well documented already. But we all have issues with our line up and players in certain positions. So, for home games much more than away, doesn't this solve so many problems and kind of seem sensible for our starting 11? Back 5 as is.... Guthrie Smith Nolan Lovenkrands Gutierrez Ameobi I know I dont like Ameobi but Carroll couldn't play that role, and the signing of Routledge and hopefully Moses will change this, but surely we should have played this at home for the past few months? A lá Chelsea when they had Robben, Drogba and Duff.
  11. I hope that one day you will sit up in realisation, or look back when a similar subject is brought up and think to yourself 'how on earth could I have had these views?' Otherwise I worry about your opinion and attitudes towards the more important things in life. I hope you don't get them as wrong.
  12. OK he's not brilliant on the deck, but he's better than that 27 year old piece of crap we've been employing for 10 years too many! Ameobi is the cause of the vast majority of our problems when we play, not least because we aim for him as he's made the target man, often the lone striker, so everything goes to him.....he cant control, or turn, or pass, or create! We are a terrible side with him in the team and not just because he is woeful, but because we seem to only go through this oweful excuse for a footballer. Hes an absolute DONKEY, how can no one see that?! Carroll is much better. Change tactics, tell them, no long balls, play football, pass it around, get in behind anyway you can, try different things....then we'd be amuch better side, and Carroll would be extremely more able than Ameobi would. Loop a few balls into the only Newcastle player in the box and of course he's going to score if he gets enough chances...even with his windmill flailing legs! .....................*exhale* Rant Over
  13. I can't believe what Im reading in here... We all know it, we've all said it, its not the strikers that are the problem, its the players giving the ball to them.......and of course Ameobi! It would be a fantastic window even if we dont get a striker in, Routledge alone will help all our strikers (bar Ranger) score more, even the lanky streak of P......Ameobi.
  14. Ronaldo your view of Carroll baffles me. Yes, we haven't scored many goals from flick ons from Carroll, but neither have we from Ameobi or Harewood when he was here, thats not the issue, its playing the long ball at all. Play it along the deck and still play Carroll with Lover, then you'll get some results. Cant play Ranger yet, waste of a position....and a one we're f**king struggling in to be honest.
  15. So long as he doesnt destroy his career by throwing hissy fits and moving from s**t club to s**t club.
  16. ......I said this was coming, we haven't had our injury laiden, sh*te performances part of the season yet
  17. You cant be serious, you listening to this ? Yep, not the best entertainment but sounds like one or two decent performances from the new/young players. If we can continue to pick up wins while Forest are in their purple patch, I'll have no complaints Purple patch? They've not lost since the end of September. They're just good. It will change when Earnshaw proves his shitness again but it isnt just a purple patch
