However, Szczesny Sagna-Djourou-Koscielny-Gibbs Chamakh Is distinctly average. Suggests that Cabaye and Tiote need to have big games if we're to get anything.

Wilshere-Song Gervinho-Ramsey-Arshavin Is far from average.

Would be delighted if RvP was unavailable, that guy would destroy us with ease. His replacement, Chamakh, has done nothing to suggest he's up to the task in preseason.

I'm hopeful that Arsenal will have more than 1 eye on the Udinese game a few days later. They still have more than enough quality to beat us, even if the players mentioned are ruled out and they aren't properly focused on us. For those reasons I'm standing by my 1-2 prediction. I just hope that everybody sees the game for what it is, a match against a superior side. A win would be a massive bonus.

Won them the FA Cup last year? Has put them in a position to challenge for the league. Deserves another season (unless it does tits up early). I didn't say he, or even that style of footy, wasn't successful. All I'm saying is that if my team had spent £500 mil on players and deployed 'safety' first tactics, I'd be getting awfully frustrated. Especially considering the potential of the squad available. Awfully frustrated with an FA cup and 3rd place? Right. Not to mention that European tin-cup competition he's got them playing in as a result. They're having a bad time in Manchester.
