  1. They've already got Kean, Gbamin, Gomes, Delph and Lossl in tbf.
  2. Might mean Eriksen goes but, if not, wow. Spurs are getting strong (except at right-back). Well if you believe what you read, we're getting Dybala, Fernandes, Lo Celso and Coutinho. Or, just perhaps, most of what's out there is bollocks.
  3. I'm interested but completely swamped IRL so not sure when I'd be available. Presumably I can still autodraft, so count me in. More the merrier tbh.
  4. only got a year left right? why bother going anywhere when he'd make a fortune on a free and be much more attractive than he currently is having to pay spurs for him Yeah, presume that's why we're trying to get shot now. It's complicated (again) by the difference between our transfer window and the European one.
  5. Supposedly Eriksen is sulking because Real aren't that interested in him. He might end up at Man U.
  6. Vertonghen is 18th. Luiz is 9th. Mustafi is 11th. I’m not entirely clear upon what stats this is based, but i don’t have total faith in the criteria . Looks suspiciously like average rating out of ten per game.
  7. It's not as he headed it back to the GK, as the laws stand. Who will no doubt promptly hang on to it for well over the requisite 6 secs, wasting the time anyway. Wish they’d clamp down on this tbh.
  8. Some amazing talent going forward though, plus that kid they’re grooming for Real. I think they’ll be really good, but if the wheels do come off it will be disastrous.
  9. It’s a step up from Palace, he’s more likely to play for Everton than Arsenal, etc. he'd walk into the current arsenal team I mean Lacazette, Aubameyang and Pepe isn't exactly a bad front three. 180M - they’ve surely got to get back in the CL this year or they will have some real problems. Wishful thinking, they'll have to reign it back a bit but... Accounts for the year to 31 May 2018 Turnover £403m (5th highest in the league, down from £424m) Wage bill £240m (5th highest, 60% of turnover, up from £199m) Profit before tax £70m (up from £45m) Net debt Nil. Cash surplus stated: £15m Was thinking about Swiss Ramble’s last Arsenal thread - he says player sales that year masked a large operating loss and expects them to post a significant loss last year: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1145583489103945728.html

  11. I've not really been concentrating, but it seems like Everton have done some canny work. Should be a really open season.
  12. Dean Saunders on Talksport said Leicester and West Ham were his picks to go down this season. ...and the operative word is TalkShite.
  13. Where's the ref from and who are you going to be playing?
  14. Not sure if this is OK? Please delete if not: https://youtu.be/52ku5JXwl3M I like that he got mobbed by some children in Spurs shirts too.
  15. Welcome to our world Oh no, I mean, it's Juve. It's the same world it always was. How's the saviour of Irish football doing? He did well . We had all kinds of random kids playing today, and it was a fantastic match. Watch the Kane goal if you get a chance. I'm really excited about Parrott but it's so, so early. Sorry for this aside (because I was thinking about this) I'm still more divorced from football now than I've ever been. It's an acid test really - my team are in the best position they've been for nearly sixty years, and yet I'm walking away. If I was (God forbid) in your Ashley-fied position I'd have probably done it years ago. I didn't even know the first game was today, but happened to be up and online and stumbled across it. I might have to re-watch it though to assess Parrott properly . Have you seen much of him? Nah just some of him in underage Irish games. Seems to be the most hyped Irish young player in a long time though. Pity he's not with the Irish u19s in the Euros who have a good chance of going through to the knockouts today. Also missed the u17 Euros through injury earlier this summer. He's ridiculously young like so no panic just yet but very encouraging for him to be involved with the first team at this stage Yeah, I've seen a lot of him at the youth level and he seems to be legit. It's a huge, huge thing that he got the start today and seems to be considered as the most direct replacement for Kane. Poch's use of younger players is really distinctive. He's generally reluctant to put them in unless they have terrific attitude and he has complete faith in them - just talent alone is nowhere near enough, and age doesn't seem to factor in. There's a long list of kids who looked great and we expected Poch to integrate into the first team but who have fallen by the wayside, and a number of kids who seemed pretty limited in talent but who've been given extended opportunities. Poch obviously has a very clear idea of what he wants from them. It made me nervous to not have direct cover for Kane, but if we can possibly get Lo Celso and keep Eriksen then we have so many options going forward with Son and Moura. I feel like in my magic perfect world this is the perfect situation for Parrott. If we let Llorente go and don't bring another forward in he should get loads of opportunities to develop as a player.

  18. Not that anybody cares, but the ref in our friendly with Juve just denied us one of the most blatant penalties I have ever seen .
  19. I was going to ask about highlights for this - didn't realize it was on nufctv.
  20. You guys up for a draft league this year? More players would be interesting.
  21. Not odd for us though - feels like a good return. He's not had the best of seasons (partly through injury) and we have cover at RB. Trippier looked a bit out of place in the really big games. Replacing him or sticking with Aurier and Walker-Peters? Nobody really knows . There's talk of Foyth moving over to RB too, and we're supposedly trying to get both of the Sessegnons. General feeling last year was that with everybody fit, RB was the weakest position, but also had the most depth. They were all pretty much of a muchness. It's not a big surprise that it looks like Trippier's on his way, but it's a big surprise that it's to Atletico Madrid.
