Don't you pretty much live in Peckham?
-
Also, this all feels mildly like that 0-1 game where Krul made a billion saves.

Where it all comes from is a mystery It’s just another fucking stunt, From that fat cunt Mike Ashley But here’s the one that’s driving me berserk Why does Stevie Bruce keep finding work?

I suppose you could argue that he “gains possession” because if it doesn’t hit his arm it goes straight through to Ndombele, whereas his arm diverts it straight to Jesus. Like, if somebody punches the ball into the net they didn’t control the ball themselves, but they effectively gained possession. It’s clearly an accident, but they also clearly scored a goal as a direct result of it hitting his arm. The question then is simply what we want refs to do with that information, plus all the other information on a video (pushing, offsides etc).

I don't know if it possibly can be. I mean, there are literally only three players in the entire history of the universe who have gone for more, and Bayern have only ever spent more than 45M Euro on one player - Lucas Hernandez.

Jesus and that's as a fan of a club who are going places too. Imagine how we feel Personally I still love it as a neutral and from a fpl perspective I've avoided posting too much about it on here because I was worried I'd overstep the mark. Obviously I've become pretty disillusioned with many aspects of the game, despite my own team being on the up and up. My wife's a Villa fan, and I've had similar conversations with Villa fans, but many of them are suddenly back engaged because their team are not as shite, got promoted, and have spent money. I mean, I get it, but it doesn't change the underlying problems, and it rather suggests that the real season they became disillusioned with football was just that their team were shite at it. Which brings me here, I guess. I didn't post too much about it because I suspect I was concerned I was being a self-righteous bastard who felt walking away while we were good was somehow more meaningful than, say, walking away while Mike Ashley systemically destroys your club. I don't want to be like that. Someone did say essentially "cry me a river", but I truly am sad that the sport I love has come to this. I can't be neutral because I've been a fan for 40+ years - there is no neutral . I still wanted Man U to get stuffed tonight, as soon as I realized they were playing. Anyway, that's my slightly sad rant over, just got off work and going to see if an IPA helps .

Well Patricio was a nice bonus.

I really can’t remember ever giving less of a shit abut football than this season . Didn’t realize this game was on until browsing the BBC.
-
Works for me, i’ve got 41 with five to come. Zaha and Kelly have 4 of the 41 too.
-
Also doesn't include Man U, Man C, Chelsea, Everton and Wolves. All the runs are bad .

Son will be back for this btw. I can see one of those games coming up where you’re wildly pessimistic beforehand but get a win. Bit of payback for us blagging a draw yesterday.

*sigh* One of my best friends here in Ohio has a son who's 8 and supports...Man City. He's a great kid, and was really excited to watch today's match with me, but I was well chuffed when I realized I was working and didn't have to. Gutted when the Jesus goal came up on the BBC tracker, then elated by the VAR. Then I have to confess to a small smile when I realized the little bugger might at least feel a tiny fraction of true supporter's pain. Am I a total cunt?

Should be a free hit for shit like that. Always felt that . A free kick to the balls.

https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/49337051 "Manchester City FC was found to have breached, among others, article 19 of the Fifa Regulations on the status and transfer of players. "The disciplinary committee took into account the fact that Manchester City FC accepted its responsibility and sanctioned the club with a fine of CHF 370,000." 315K. That'll learn 'em.

If Bury and Bolton go they wont reduce the relegated teams to 2 Seriously?

Stop it. That’s really really good. Looking at some of the scores in our league, I'm only 48th it's average, i dunno how some get it so spot on. The average score is 47 . I’m 200 and somethingth in our league.

Stop it. That’s really really good.

He's Crucial to spurs imo For now, but hopefully that will change when Lo Celso comes in and the new guys settle.
-
Fair do’s - a draw at Ipswich is a good result, but the balance of shots and corners does not bode well.
-
City's unused subs were Cancelo, Bernardo Silva and Otamendi .
-
Hurrah for VAR.
-
I wondered about that and looked it up - apparently it was not a rule, just a guideline given to linesmen in situations where they were behind the play. If they saw daylight between the players just after the ball was kicked they were told to expect that the forward was probably offside when the ball was actually kicked.
-
There has to be some leeway like. You're taking away the joy of scoring when you have to hold off celebrating just in case your striker's lace came undone and was dangling offside. Why does there have to be leeway? That just allows the sort of subjective decisions that favour big clubs and home teams. To me, the rule should be based around the position of the players' feet, for a start. By leeway I mean let's not start disallowing goals based on how far forward a player is leaning, or where their arms are, or how big their hands are... If you're going to use VAR to judge offsides, it can only really be a "clear and obvious" mistake from the on-field officials if the attacker's stride is ahead of the defender's IMO. I completely agree that they need to examine the offside laws in the light of VAR, and I think that the player's feet is a good starting point.

Is it arbitrary? Oh well, then it shouldn't be disallowed.
