Leicester did it constantly in the first half against us which was driving me nuts, then Udogie did a blatant yellow card tackle and I was ready to flip…until the ref bottled that too They need to start dealing with it early on in games but it’s the same old story. Only way to deal with it is dole out tons of yellows and reds until teams get the message…but the FA doesn’t want that to happen so the initiative always peters out.

Watched our Leicester match in the pub with a few neighbors. For some reason you couldn’t hear the commentary at all from our TV and the whole thing was massively improved - to the point I think everyone commented on it. Presumably they would like to buy him for £34M then immediately loan him to Bournemouth for a year for £4M. The rules say you can’t do that. So they reckon that by having Bournemouth loan him from Valencia for a year then agreeing to buy him for £30M at that time they “get round” the rules. Plus presumably also distorting PSR by shunting that 30M outlay back a year.

The article mentions that clause and basically says Liverpool are going to pretend to not be loaning him: “Valencia will bank £34 million. Liverpool are due to pay £30 million, with that final £4 million a loan fee stumped up via Bournemouth.” if true surely that’s a blatant and transparent attempt to subvert the rule which should be knocked on the head.

I slogged through the list. I think 5 players are 21 right now and 9 are definitely U21. If for argument‘s sake they are all considered U21 it’s not so bad (I know at least two of them aren’t but can’t be bothered to check them all). Let’s say there are 12. They have six keepers. If they ditch/loan three of them that’s down to only 28. In theory they only need to loan out three more players to name everyone. And Lukaku and Gallagher are still on that list.
